Cheers Scotty,
Appreciate the help given. Funny how I find myself with parts of yet another French registered aircraft in my collection.
Ive been around Bex but with a new job and a few other commitments to boot it has meant that Ive not been near a computer much over the last month or so. Will drop you an email over the weekend. 😉
Happy B’day Bex,
Hope you have a good one. 😎
Fingers crossed for a positive outcome Jon.
I remember regularly seeing the aircraft at Coventry as a child many years ago and from a personal point of view it would be nice to see her saved.
A link to some pics of her at Coventry from the periods I remember her.
Please keep us upto date with what happens.
Not really up on the finer details of WW2 German markings but to my untrained eye it looks rather nice.
Is this the example I would have seen at Kemble a year or so ago in an overall white scheme?
It was good to catch up with you again Ian.
Must do it again. No doubt see you at Duxford now that I appear to have been converted 😉
The pictures youve posted really do show that although she is a bit dirty in places she is in a really good sound condition. I love the one of the fuselage from the side showing the washed and the yet to be washed section.
May only be small steps but at least we have started. 🙂
Regards Martin
Lets see it! That bust of Angelina Jolie is unbelievable…. 😎 😎
I only thought he had drawn from the neck upwards. :diablo:
If the ones on the afore mentioned site are a little out of your price range, there is always this prestine example on ebay at the minute.
Not related to your question Albert but just seen this on ebay and knowing about your love for all things JP and aerobatic team JP thought of you. 😀
Saw this vid on another forum this morning.
Excellent stuff and as for the Hurri at low level rocking its wings waving……. well what can you say other than it really does hit the mark.
Twin engine, high drag configuration i.e. gear down, flaps down, high level of bank, close to the crowd need I say more?
Thanks for the update Bruce and putting to rest some of the myths that are going around.
Whats the chance of Kermit Weeks selling his as that is potentially airworthy?
But it would be a hell of a sight.
curlyboy
Can Kermit Weeks example still be considered as potentially airworthy though?
Unsure how true it is but I think I remember hearing that since RS712 went state side the change in humidty affected the wood/glue bond pretty badly.
I to would love to see a Mossie in the skies once more. I only saw the BAe example fly once but it was one of the most impressive and moving sights Ive ever seen.
Well said Lindy’s Lad.
Wev’e been trying to get him to join the Guild but so far to no avail. Maybe if others on the forum could suggest it he would take notice. :p
Should be no excuse for him though especially considering the links that Midland Air Museum has with the guild.
By the way Ritch & Max, the Phantom is mine and Rob’s joint project at MAM (along with a few others who have helped along the way). Along with 101 other tasks that he has done on the Phantom, Rob is also going to be painting the Phantom Spook gunslinger image on the side of the intakes.
Although I wanted to have a crack I cant really compete with his art skills so……………………
I can’t wait to see what that looks like when its done.
Happy Birthday young man (see not all of us mock the older generation ooops sorry  ). Have a gud un.
See you finally started listening to us all Rob 😉
Very nice picture youve done there fella.
Not trying to get him sales (well actually I am, what was my commision again Rob?) but having seen originals of Robs work they look stunning. The scans really do miss a lot of the shading that is present on the pics.
I think you should share some of your other work with the forumites. The Nimrod’s rather nice and that Mossie you did for Gordy was simply stunning.
Come on dont be shy 😉
