Matchbox of course did the PR9 in 1/72nd scale but thats the only PR Canberra priduced by a mainstream manufacturer thats im aware of and they command a pretty high price these days.
Malcs got one sitting and waiting for you Les. Dont let him tell you otherwise. ha ha
Enjoy your bed time read
No worries buddy,
Learnt how to post pics last night. Waking up this morning and wanting to check I could remember how to do it these pics sprung to mind.
I rem you mentioning your into your modelling. I did a set of walksround pics of the Aries. If you want a set let me know can email or burn you a disc and post.
I went down a few times as a Cadet. Flew Chippies from the station. Used to be a Red Whirlwind at the station at the time. THink hats now at Gatwick Museum. Sure Bex will confirm if thats correct.
Unsure about that Videbeest. When they came out it was my long break from modelling. Its quite possible though as im aware that Aeroclub did as with many of their subjects bring out a variety of diff variants.
If they did a 1/72nd conversion though its highly likely they did a 1/48th kit of it.
Aeroclub did do a Vacform fuselage which you could mate to the Italeri and Airfix canberra/B58 kits. Think its out of production though now Les.
I have one under my bed though. Will at one point get around to modelling Malcs Cranberry. Get the museum another article and some more free publicity. Did you like the Sea Hawk article in the mag Malc passed onto you?
What about the excellent SAM publications books. They do one on the Meteor. Not got that title my self. But got the Mossie one and Im sure they show drawings for the winch in that.
Blimey a good few years ago then.
I dont think the collection is open anymore unless by prior arrangement. I may be wrong though.
That woulf be great Arm Waver. I did take another couple of pics of the Meteor from the front. It did involve crawling through a hedge and with a fence and bush cluttering my view it was difficult to get good shots. I will post them this evening. As despite her being dismantled she is in very good condition. Ripe for restoration I think they say.
Your also correct in saying she is a Royal NAvy example.
A few more
And a couple more
Well I guess she is secure as in the aircraft has been sat at the airfield for a number of years now so is unlikely to go anywhere. THe trouble is as you can see by the codition of he aircraft she is open for abuse.
THe graffiti and is proof of this as is the damaged port rear door. A number of fuselage windows are smashed. I managed to get the interior shot by sticking the camera through a broken window
I could really upset him and do a posting of the pics of RAF Shawburys Wessex gate guardian I took for a magazine article I did?
Now isnt the place to DIVULGE what I mean by that RobMac
For ARLG
Dont llook to close at the bad language on the side
Woo Hoo.
Whos the man. With his first picture posting.
Inside the Sea Prince
OK hopefully this works
Its not workin Rob you lied to me.
