do what I do JAybeebee. When you buy something pop it in the garage of somewhere in the house where its not obvious. ONly look at it when her indoors isnt around and then a few months down the road wheel it out and declare the imortal words………

Look what I found I didnt realise I had this.

Now she wont believe you as she will no doubt do this with the shoe or handbag collection but she cant prove it. Granted i havnt tried this with an item the size of a seat though.

Nice pics Curly. The tweeks have worked wonders

UNsure what to make of the new hanger. Its obv good to get airframes in from the cold but I dont like the way museums want to suspend everthing these days. Just leaves me a bit cold the way things dangle. Much prefer being able to walk around things.

    Cheers guys.

Id started the model and seen a pic of her in service life and been a sucker for the colourscheme. I thought it would look nice alongside my Blue Diamonds T7 and G-HUNT model.

I then saw a part for sale on ebay the other day and have purchased that item. The seller told me the cockpit had been sold to the RAF but couldnt confirm what had happened to it or if it was still around.

I thought be something a little diff in my model collection having the completed model alongside a part of that very aircraft. Even if my models arnt the best in the world and the part somewhat dwarfs the model. he he he

Ive seen the bits on ebay appearing sporadically. Which was kind of strange as at the moment and by conicidence I am making a 1/48th model of her and wondered what had ultimately happened to her.

While looking around the web I saw an old link thread on the forum showing her about the time she was up for sale on ebay as a completish airframe. Im guessing no buyer was found. Ive put the link below. Some pics of her on it.

    Welcome Dinny,

Great posting. I wasnt aware that they were continuing work on the aircraft. Looks great doesnt she. Lets hope that who ever buys her keeps her in this country. Blenheim and Beau in the sky together. Now there’s a thought that wets the appetite.

Fantastic news. And as Bruce says does seem a bargain. Not so fussed about the TSR2’s being rereleased. Ive a couple already and happy if they go up in value. But thats purely a selfish point of view.

I never understood why they limited the production run of the kit. Was speaking to a guy from the IPMS What If Group and he said they had to twist Airfix’s arm to produce as many as they did. The company really didnt think that there was demand there for the type. How wrong they were.

Remember there was a 1/72nd scale Nimrod on the horizon as well.

Hi Cessna, also a volunteer im frim Midland Air Museum. Sure one of your guys was down with us a few weeks ago.

Anything V bomber does seem to fetch a premium. But I agree with the serial on the item it is a very nice peice. Was tempted myself but thinking about it wouldnt be able to pick it up at the minute and then what to do with it if I did get it.

At least Takka takka takka takka remains the same in all languages. Which I find strangely reassuring.

    Happy Birthday Bruce,

Ill on your birthday. Not good hope you get lots of sympathy and attention. Unless its serious us men normally carry on regardless despite what the fairer sex often tells us. Ha ha.

Anyway have a good one and remeber with every passing year the cake needs to get a lil bigger to keep up with the candles.

Maybe we at the MAM should get it flying again. Can imagine bouncing in and out of the flight path of the Thomson 737’s. Alternatively just tie it to the tail of the 737’s and go abroad. Package hols via the MAM. Luggage is restricted though. he he he

Ps im not volunteering to be the Test Pilot.
