Me to Dave I would love a Hawk on of my fav in the modern jet world.
Ive made a few enquiries re diff Hawk sections lying around but no so far no joy.
Non for sale it seems. 🙁
Unusual to see the tailwheel locked down on a BBMF MK.XIX
XM692 is correct the HM.14 is banned is not allowed to fly in the UK.
There are other versions of the Flying Flea allowed to fly all with a similar wing layout.
My interest in the plans was just to have a read. Maybe one day I would build one for fun but more than enough on my list of jobs to do at the minute.
Edit: Just noticed that XM692 has beat me to it by making the above points.
my mistake – it was the Villeneuve one I was thinking of when Schumacher was driving for ferrari.
Easy mistake Paul after all there’s been so many dodgy moments involving Mr Schumacher over the years it is hard to keep track at times. 😀

At Bournmouth in the Uk before its closure they had pretty much unsupervised access to a Hunter, Canberra, and a few of the large exhibits – they suffered the shameful loss of parts and damage but kept going – a triumph of good intentions over **** behaviour !
Also, at East Midlands, they will (If poss) open up the exhibits but again, they run the risk – I had a sit in the Vulcan, Argosy and F-104 (which was a squeeze in a t-shirt and I’m only 5 feet 8 !) they also had the Hunter open and on certain days others open under supervision. Fine place and I’d recommend anybody to go there.
it does add to the day, I paid at Bruntinthorpe to sit in a Lightning and would happily pay, say £5 to try some more – but I guess its down to the owners etc.
Youve got your wires crossed there fella. Your referring to the Midland Air Museum at Coventry Airport.
Can anyone confirm which Sea Harrier that is?
A source led me to believe that the ZE694 performed a Flypast with a Swordfish at Biggin in either 1997 or 1998.
Traplet Publications do a large scale R/C plan.
Phillip I know you have been contacting people with the best intentions but even as a cockpit section do you realise how much of a financial and logistical undertaking it would be to move such an item.
Look at the picture youve posted and compare the size of the section you propose compared to the car alongside it. It is not a small piece of metal which also means it will be heavy.
I could also raise points such as how much time, effort and money it would take to restore the cockpit and how it would be a drain on many museums finances both financially and in terms of manpower.
I could also add that museum like to have useable exhibits which this clearly for a long time would not be.
But I know youve not got the time so we will leave these considerations for others to worry about.
And the likely hood of ever seeing a Lanc in coastal command colours?
Zilch its far to easy to take the easy route and paint in a WW2 bomber scheme.
Although saying that I fully understand the reasoning behind the decision as to why a museum would make that call.
Thought process going slightly off topic I wonder if the BBMF would ever consider a scheme for PA474 to repressent another part of the Lancs RAF career?
They have after all a post war schemed Spit.
Ferrari being able the bend the rules to suit themselves with only the occasional wrist slap has been going on for a long time – do you remember schumacher deliberately drving into Damon Hill and winning the championship as a result.
If your refferring to the incident at the Australian Grand Prix 1994 Schumacher was driving for Benneton not Ferrari.

Many thanks to everyone for all for the information and advice given.
Edskarf thank you. After a pants day at work dealing with the public that link to the pictures really has made my day. 😀
Many thanks Lee, PM sent.
Give them a little time – I wrote to them recently with regards to Tiger Moth BB860, I had a reply by email within 3 weeks and some paperwork turned up about 4 or 5 days after that. I found them very useful.
FB
Much much longer than three weeks that I mailed them.
Maybe I need to recontact them. Can I ask did you just use the archives email address listed on their www?
