I am sure he was joking. Why take it seriously? If I remember the range of su-30 MK was supposed to be 3000km and 5200km with IFR. For MI it was 8000km with 1 IFR. Of course not as impressive as Tu-142 but not too shabby 🙂

deal to buy 50 SU-30MKP Whit NIIR PHAZATRON ZHUK-MSFE RADAR & AL-31FM-2 Whit Trust Vectoring
this aircraft unit cost $65 million

iranian pilot (farshid jafary , tavakoly , … ) now in russian for traning

    surce:A high IRIAF source

How will it differ from MKK or even MK? I assume it can only have russian components. No french or israeli gizmos?

I doubt they could afford the running cost. They wanted OHP frigates instead.

I would be surprised if the carrier is not capable of carrying the load I mentioned.

I think both ADS and gorky will have Mig-29K and N-LCA. I am sure the gorky can take more than 16 mig 29K. I would assume a complement of 12-14 mig 29K, 12-14 N-LCA and 6-8 helicopters. A 40,000 tonne carrier better be able to carry that much.

I would take the Rafale or Su-33.

I suggest increasing the fleet of MKI to 300 apart from the MMRCA deal.

Really without the US aid and the earth quake relief fund donated by others what money did they have? Even the F-22 ships are being purchased on loan the othet ships from greece are 25 years old.

The Jf-17 were taken with chinese avionics not because they were of any quality but because they couldn’t afford the cost of grifo and other italian avionics. There are a lot of articles that point to the same. So stop spreading nonsense like grifo could not meet PAF’s requirements.

Nope the plane that was shot down was in POK side. Of course there was no confrontation with PAf, thats the whole point PAF just chickened out. The J-10 is crap because the pakistanis are not asking for chinese avionics in JF-17 are they? They still want italian/ french/ swedish stuff in it. Feel free to believe what you will but i think most people know J-10 would be hardly any match for F-16 MLU, let alone gripen.

Yes and the atlantique was indeed on a training mission on the indian side of the border 🙂 . The mig-29 lock on on the antiquated F-16’s must have really upset PAF if they are willing to settle for junk like the J-10.
