I see. I am not sure about adding DRFM without US consent but the main worry for PAF would be if this comes with riders like US officials being present or not. Its frankly an infringement on PAF’s stratergic freedom.

I guess the US senate must have been given wrong information, while the real stats were handed over to kasuri :).

LOL look up greendays posts. He has been claiming the sky and star for the pathetic air force and Pathetic Navy. When Pakistan is able to make a radar, sonar or EW suit come back. Till then the pathetic armed forces are better off not showing what they have to put up with.

Nick the Mi-17 are transport or civilian versions. Putin thouroghly insulted their prejident-in-chief when he publicly rebuffed him about any military weapons or platforms. LOL do we need links to know PA, PAF and PN are impotent. Isn’t bangladesh a living proof of this? :diablo:

Please list the faulty equipments? The ***** army has to basically beg every country in the world to obtain equipments. Heck even the cheapest and lowest grade of chinese weapons are obtained on loans. 🙂 . Russia has already said they won’t agree to RD-93 supply for PAk. Combat choppers lol lol…what a joke. I guess the public rebuffing that mushy got was not enough insult for the pathetic army. LOL **** geopolitics must mean US ready to supply latest F-18 and F-16 to IAF and refusing to provide EW equipment to PAF = victory for PAF :)).

LoL they do need a constant supply of merc’s now don’t they? Also don’t forget the camel riders that are in demand :). So after the purchase of Mirage-3 thanks to KSA, what other aircraft has PAF purchased from these petro dollars?? Why are PAF and PN is such a pathetic state that without a handout from US they would simply fall apart.

Qantaz, in today’s world no one gives a damn about another. Today even governments don’t give a damn about their own people. Hundreds of Farmer Suicides due to famine, AIDS, Polio holocaust, 40% of world’s malnourished children, rape of own women by the military etc.

As GreenDay1 pointed out, Pakistan does have good defence relationship with GCC countries.

Yes todays govts and armies only kill 80 year old men, women and children with fighters and attack helicopters, rape and kill women and unarmed protesters because they are shias not sunnis. Steal land from helpless farmers so officers can have posh defence colonies. Try to pass of fake figures about economic growth while the economy drags on because of handouts from USA and arabs and when good journalists blow the cover make them disappear with the help of certain insidious agencies. Don’t care about health services in their own countries even if it means their citizens have to go to an enemy nations for eye or heart surgeries.Unfortunately this is the world we live in. :diablo:

    Swerve and Muns

All those examples involve US of A, the most powerful nation on the face of earth also referred to as hyperower.

True but it also involved a nation like china which could p[otentially buy israeli arms worth billions of dollars without needing a handout from the arabs or earthquake donors. Ericsson’s can be banned from India for the next tweny years and lets see if they want to go ahead.

Of the top of my head, i’m thinking about 2 deals that were signed, before the US decided to intervene and block delivery.

1st is with the sale of Israeli Phalcon to China, reportedly the planes we’re halfway complete before delivery was cancelled due to US pressure and some US equipment in the planes.

2nd is with the prior sale of F-16’s to pakistan. pakistan reportedly paid for surplus F-16’s but delivery was cancelled with some of the offsets being paid back to pakistan in the form of soy bean oil.

Heron upgrades for china , no more python series AAM’s etc. There are lots of deals that get cancelled after signing. I am just saying why not try? Like BIO said, if it is in erricssons interest to cancel they will or else they won’t.

Then why not throw them out anyway. Its not like their products are far better than the rest. I Know India does not have clout over sweden or vice versa, which only makes it easier to kick them out. What exactly has russia sold pakistan? A few transport helis, no there is too much at stake for russia to sell to pakistan. My point is India may or may not be able to sway erricsson’s, but why not try it anyway? It wouldn’t be a loss for india in any manner,

Why? If they are willing to give us better stuff why must it be applied? After all I am only concerned about whats good for India. The rest of the world can fend for themselves. Surely no one is going to complain if pakistan bought a few toyota trucks now would they? I agree though that LM must be kept out of Indian market at all costs, even if it means paying more for an aircraft.
