Hello gentlemen,
Thank you all for your assistance in this matter, I have deleted quite a few photographs from the forum account to see if that would help but sadly it did not, looks like I will have to open a photobucket account now.
Again thank you.
Regards
Jason
Wishing you all the very best of the season and a very happy new year

So yet again some idiot comes along and tries to change history, why give this person time of day ?
“Mr Beaver is also happy to commit heresy by saying RJ didn’t design the Spitfire, although he did put the team together who did”
However he is right there is nothing like a spitfire 🙂
A very honest description for a change, normally its from a Spitfire 🙂
Not sure if this is what you seek or not
They are hoping nobody will notice if they do it piece by piece 🙂

Restored original panel from a late MkIXE
Thank you gentlemen for your comments,2 BA C/S bolts sound very small for a main panel the size of the lancaster but if thats what the drawing says cant argue with that LOL,
but I don’t think loose nuts and washers were used , have been told that either floating anchor nuts were used or 2 lug fixed nuts riveted in place on the rear of the cockpit frame just as in the Spitfire.
Looking for confirmation.

Jason
Might be talking out of my backside here but there might be something held in the Vickers records Library, believe its held at one of the Universities, but not sure which one or could be at Brooklands .
I believe that AP1538B Vol II gives you everything you need

The rubber bobbins are also available from Malcom Goosey of RAF surplus. he also supplies new sprung BFP mounts

So how can the powers at be expect a complete exhibit in a reasonable time when they are putting restrictions on the work involved?
Don’t make sense to me one bit.
