Can anybody help,

Tonight I spoke on the phone with the guy who originaly sold all the windscreen parts to my friend and he still has some new manufactured and some original pattern parts left, including a unused draught excluder which I believe fits over the T section,
Real shame as I recall the ones in the mid 80’s..so brilliant they were.
Ken, did you get my mail?
I am looking to replace the partial and battered rear hoop of the windscreen (internal armour type) for PK519.
Is anybody sourcing the ‘T’ section and forming these?
I have yet to locate the capping hoop that fits over the ‘T’ section.
Mark

All the above information was obtained from my friend who I helped assemble the windscreen, he got it from the guy who sold all that he needed about 2 yrs ago, when we went to collect it all the guy still had original windscreen and new replacement parts left over.
At the present I do not any drawing number for the T section rear hoop or the Internal glass flange to hand but will look out for them when I visit my friend.
Hope the above is helpful
Couple of pics of the one I assisted with a few months ago, the cheeks are the hardest parts to make as Qldspitty has mentioned already, the bullet proof glass is very easy to obtain from the original supplier.
Though the MkVa and Vb was external windscreen the Mk Vc was the first to have the internal windscreen fitted on the production line, the first fitted was on the Mk 111 as an experiment.
Sorry guys I haven’t responded to pm’s etc and my mail is full, my mum is a tad unwell at the moment so do not have time to search for stuff, hope you understand 🙂
Sorry to hear about your mom, know the feeling at present myself so my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

I am wracking to old grey cells here but I am sure I was told about 10 yrs ago of a guy in your neck of the woods by the name of Gary Oschdalin who had loads of spitfire bits including a full control column.
I see the legend “reference Gary Oschaldalin” on Qld’s drg, so I’m guessing he’s aware of him!
I posted my message on the 17th and Qldspitty posted the drawing on the 18th , and as my crystal ball is currrently on loan to G4S I was not aware until then that they knew each other or that Gary was involved in the project.
Used in Spitfires
Not just in spits, used in most british built aircraft for the RAF/FAA from 1934 to well into the 1950’s, even saw a picture of one taken at the radio ops position inside the Washington aircraft .
That photo scene Tony is a sea of thoughts…thank you
[The critical measurement is the height for the elevator control tube on the column as this needs to line up with the bellcrank behind F11:p[/QUOTE]

If no luck there then can you post a drawing denoting what dimenions you require and no doubt somone on here will be able to assist.
Am I right that you also need tail frame 20 measurments?
You can use the search facility to search for user name or click on link which takes you to his website.
