I heard it mentioned at the aerojumble at Newark that he was retiring out of the business, but good news if he has had a change of heart :applause:

Stirling 01 your request is easier! Downland do the casting and the Perspex can be bought from original makers. The rest of the frame is relatively easy to make.
Heard a rumour that Downland are not longer producing the casting. My friend does have a brand new Perspex for the External type windscreen for sale but its for collection only.

Few more items sorted out.
Anybody need these for a late merlin spitfire engine bearer?
Part numbers 35137/103 and 104 in excellent condition.

Saw one a few months ago, it was in far better condition, even had potential and the levers moved,, oh and it was priced at £600 ono !
In my view another lot of over valued crap from this seller
I also saw this in my local WH Smith’s..waste of good money
I have both Volumes, will trade for a 15 plate Audi RS :eagerness:
Yes, I have, I will PM you shortly, he supply’s other website outlets so it will be cheaper buying direct from him.
Fly.buy,
Just to update you, I could not afford the one he was selling at £110 each compared to the ones I have seen at £65 each on feebay etc, but my friend did buy one, however it was oversized and did not fit an original spade grip , despite it being unfit for purpose the seller then refused to give a refund, leaving him out of pocket of £114 inc PP, I had a very lucky escape!
Not a recommended seller in my book and so warning anybody who is considering parting their hard earned cash with this Weymouth based seller should think first, anybody requiring this sellers details just PM me.

Probably showing my ignorance here, but Mike D’s Spitfire display has two flap levers fitted; not seen that before.
The lower flap lever is in fact for the wing mounted landing lamps fitted on the Mk1’s and II’s, you can just make out the label above on the instrument panel for them.
