Hi VeeOne….I thought this thread had reached a natural conclusion and hadnt looked at it for a while.Anyway thanks for the reply and your slant on the spot above the aircraft.
The sun was at the back of me and am quite willing to accept that this must be some sort of light abnormality or small planet but because of its lack of clarity in giving it any look of substance it is easily dismissed as an aborition of some sort.
However I have since tried to create something similar and its very difficult to do.Is there anyone out who is clever enough to simulate this affect without cheating by photo-shopping and being able to send a photo displaying the result.:)I would guess having looked at the last image I put in the density of hue/colour on the plane was similar to that of the ball/object.
I did notice your photo and these things do baffle the people involved and its a precarious thing to post these photos up, as immediately as they go up they are fair game for ridicule:eek::confused:but for those that it does happen to they will be the first to do exactly what we did.ha,ha.Thanks for looking..cheers..JB.
Love em all and many thanks again to PDZ,..V1..and IF62M.:)
Two corsairs a nice sight, look forward to seeing the rest..cheers..:)
I started this thread with a really dodgy out of focus couple of old scans from some prints I found but was amazed at how the thread just grew. The wealth of peoples talent for this subject came bursting through and just want to say thanks for sharing some of your magic moments from sites from all over the place.
Also the knowledge of these aircraft some people have, and are ready to impart with just to help others all stored up in the old grey cells just ready to use at the click of a button.”Amazing”.Anyway as reality comes close to me and I hear my wife curse “god however much more B****y ironing left” its my “q” to say thankyou to everyone who posted and I hope will post a few more.:)
First four shots nice and sharp,at least those new terminal buildings will help create a bit of extra light by reflection.See you both up there sometime.:)
Perfect moment to capture the real “speedbird”looking the bizz.:)
Glad you liked the photos and maybe next meeting weather permitting, you can sneek off and say hello to the mad chap with the step ladders:eek::).”when no ones looking”.;):)ha,ha…I had to leave early, were there any more flights or visiitors on sunday.I left at two..cheers..JB
Thats boosted the “moral” Anna.I could tell by your shots the optical quality seemed a lot better from your new camera.I just bought a second hand 70-300is canon lens and while its quality is good the focusing is very temperamental so am looking forward to Duxford to find how it all goes on that day..cheers..JB:)
Got to agree with the rest, but the two chipmunk shots are great.:)
First and last my choices from 🙂 what looks to have been a good show.
Nice shots, were they from the new camera?.:)
Again some lovely stuff and lots of people like “the ugly ones”.I missed the An22 when it came back to Farnborough once in the early 90s but it looked a treat from photos coming in that day..cheers:)
Again a very eye catching set all nicely taken and appreciate your time in posting and scanning.never ever seen a dash7 and would love to have seen the belfast..cheers.:)
So nice to see all those shots from a time when I never even bothered that much in looking toward the sky,”but wish I had” and better still done what you did and taken some lovely shots like these..cheers..JB:) Although I’m no expert on civil airliners I think the comet along with the 707 are such icon’s from there time most of the public know what they are.:)
