Born in the 50s they are mine as well Sky-high and only regret not having been interested in a camera until the late 80s.The memory though wont let me forget the site of a young pilot put his hunter in the vertical for a spectacular zoom climb at one of R.A.F Acklingtons B.o.B days back in 66/67 so although no one else can see it I can replay this moment any time I like.

I remember them packs of balsa and the kits with plans like yesterday and like yourself had a fantastic image in my head of the finished model but mostly:rolleyes::) it was dragged up to the top of the garden and set alight as it was such a mess.

A few more which were made with the help also of someone with a better scanner than mine which also goes to prove the sage old theory of,” you only gets what you pay for”:eek::). )

Hi Sky High and Blue_2 ….Sorry to hear of the loss of the slides but at best most of my shows were taken in the 90s with a couple in the late 80s.Anyways like I say just check now and again for some more copies.

Thats the spirit Blue_2,dont matter at first what they come out like just send them in.I’m just obsessional about doing my slides as best as I can because the gizmo I bought is a bit on the cheap side and I wont let the thing get the better of me.:)I’m probably half way to being a potty old B*****d:eek::rolleyes:

Hi to Blue_2 and Sky high….Good of you both to look in again and and respond in a positive way in return.As for the Large Lanc., model it was as good as you might imagine it to be with a safety pre caution with it because of its size that it could only be used on certain sites,proper runways and large airfield sites.

I did get one of it flying but its in a shoe box along with a few thousand others waiting to be sorted.:confused:Anyway keep looking and I’ll stick some more up and these could range from anything upwards from interesting cars caught on site to people and planes.I do this because its not just the flying attractions that make the shows but some of the other miscellaneous things seen through a viewfinder make up just as interesting a photo,I think anyway.

Loads of people come away from shows with all sorts of thoughts and feelings about what they’ve seen and experienced and I in a vain attempt try and look out for these things.Cheers..John.B:)
