Yes a B.1 would pull the crowds at Waddo, guess we’ll all just have to wait and see what happens in the fat controllers “office of funds”.Some more from the past….:)

Hi Blue_2..Cheers and yes all looks like all systems go with “MrMcHenry” about to go out on a sortie from Lossiemouth in 91ish I think.I was lucky enough to have been given an opportunity to fly with them that day which was sadly cut short by a fuel leak and headed back asap to the airfield to be greeted with some fire engines which were now highlighting the seriousness of this event should a stray spark rewrite the events of the day.:).
The sound of the supercharged griffons is magic to the ears and by all accounts the last flight was made in 2007 in America.”Where’s my violin”Ha,ha.
The” Bone” was a treat as-well to witness close at hand and the way it got its nickname still makes me laugh. Some lady documenting the aircraft in its early days must have been thinking about things from the night before and typed in B.1 as B,one instead.Maybe she was related to that lady who was confused about the” offside rule”:)ha,ha just joking:)Cheers….JB:rolleyes:
Some more with a couple of neg scans amongst them:)

Second shot of the Rafale is stunning,so well thought out and well edited.:)cheers….JB
”Wow”, nice set:)….JB
Hi Pieter….Thanks and good to hear from you,yes you’re about right with my level of Dutch “taal” so in this context I did learn the all important key sentence being.,”come ja narr Holland lekkerer V.V.Ha,Ha.:eek:All the best….John.;)B
Hi Padidiver….Yes its good to get out and about when possible.Nice set of photos with the Algerian C130 with a nice tree lined backdrop my pick of the set.Cheers….JB.
Thanks for replying R.R and yes a lot of quality copy’s of some interesting stuff.Without doubt the good gear works in the right hands and its something to aim for if quality copy’s are the mark to follow.Cheers..JB
Hi RR….Those are some well copied scans from some well exposed slides.I hope you can send some more in when you get some time to do them,by the way what gizmo did you use to get such good results?.I find copying time consuming and frustrating but the rewards are well worth the effort when a copy comes out o.k.ish.
Glad you liked the pic’s again Mike and it was a sight to see the skyraider wizzing about low level at barton and viewing the machine at eye level from the control tower.:)I too would loved to have seen a javelin fly and feel in this climate the future in aviation for the enthusiast will be in looking to the past as if we don’t air shows will be all that much poorer for not doing so.:rolleyes::)
Some odds and sods to add to the thread. One showing the fastest man on earth Andy Green, to good to miss who I caught wondering around Waddington a few years back.Another people photo I have included shows what the dress code was in the early 90s for spotting couples at Leeming.Others are from Farnborough and some other shows.:)

That Brittania Airways 737 brings back memories of the air trooping flights to Germany. That could easily have been any of the RAF bases in Germany.
Hi mike….I was doing the luton to Gutersloh early 70s with a day pre the flight at Hendon.Your mention of this brought back memories.:)I regret not having a camera or interest in them at the time as I saw loads of lightnings whilst waiting for those flights.:rolleyes:
Look forward to seeing some of your results Anna and it will be interesting to find out if its one of those new bridge cameras like a Lumix or fujifinepix?.:)
Nice shot Hydealfred.
Last few from Anna a treat especially the reds and the cub,and like the selective shot on the 146 Keith.:)
Hi Keith….Nice set as usual especially that S76.What happened to that pic you took of the H****r near Sutton Bridge?.Cheers.JB.
Hi Deskpilot….Yes a good idea and it would be a sight and sound to many an enthusiast that would be a show stopper.Maybe the real experts who have seen your question, about the feasibility of one flying will get back to you sometime.
I once saw people working in earnest to get a swift into the air during the 90s but haven’t heard or saw of it since then.Perhaps as your name suggests this might be the only way to fly the old jet,Cheers….JB.:)
