Thanks for your info in your reply,I thought it was something to do with the laser designation equipment .Being as there is no 100% answer on this I,ll have to look up your theory on it being a photo pack.
If this is the case was it used in the recce role/or was it some sort of trials equipment with something else in mind. Thanks anyway Phil for your interest.

A few more to keep the thread going,F111 at Mildenhall mid 80s,F3 at Leeming en route to the first Iraq conflict,Su27 Finningley early 90s and the Harvard pair are the same period with the interest of Gary Newman flying the trailing aircraft at Church Fenton.

Brilliant images that talk for themselves and what most would give to take a drive at that height and speed. My favourite is the vertical shot and the colour contrast is just striking with the sand pattern as the icing on the cake. Thanks for sharing.
Hello phil….The J.Ps were taken at R.A.F Halton in the early 80s and dont suppose they will be there at this stage as you see them in the photo.I just checked and the station is still open,so just google the name and some contact points will come up should you want to further your enquiry.
Cheers.
Two before the sandman calls by.

Thanks again Anna and when I get a bit more time I,ll sort through my slides again to sort out some of the better ones.Sadly through time the colours fade.:)
