Snow time is slide time
A few more slides scanned for the thread. At least with this sort of site you can share photos without too much bother.I mention this because my first 2 submissions to Airliners.Net were rejected so while I try and reel back from the failure and lick my wounds,(its not that badHa,Ha):rolleyes:I have gone back to the safe area of scanning slides while I plan my next meeting with the image scanners of A.net.
I dont suppose any of us who take aircraft photos likes our efforts shot to bits but in reflection I suppose they are only trying to maintain a high standard. One thing I,ve learnt at my age is not to take the hobby so seriously and now view the A.net site as some sort of photographic game to help me and should I get a couple of images accepted I,ll probably feel I,ve moved on a bit.
Having viewed a lot of the images on that site I have nothing but respect for the other photographers for there efforts and determination. If your still awake here are a few old show slides from me.

last image of an F.3 was cut from a 2×2 slide as the back had a leak so felt good being able to save the best part.:)
frisbee extras
The photos were taken this year about september if I recall at Hardwick and after a brief conversation with Mr bales he did mention the photo call he was going to do where you see the 2 planes air to air in the first post.
These must have been added to give some sort of pattern trim to make the aircraft not look out of place with one another. It is nice though to see a different shape and sound in the air and it would be a bonus to see it chucked about a bit.
From hardwick
Couple of shots from Hardwick of this great little aircraft and as for flying I recall Mr Bales saying during a quick chat that it was stressed to 8g and cant remember if that was neg or plus but I bet there arent many that would liked to be chucked about with that little number in mind which ever way it was.

It all helps
I have been taking aircraft photos for a while but its always good to hear some sound advice from people who practice the art more. Will read it more tomorrow….Cheers.
Quality shots
Just wanted to say that those photos were a lesson in photography for me.Thanks for taking the time to share them and 2 that I did like on looking at your site were the low flying mig29 and the colourful back shot of the climbing Gripen.
So many good moments were caught by you and your camera. Thanks again for sharing….Cheers.
correction
After a quick discussion with my better half she informed me that I had got my facts wrong in the magazine title. The mag with the article in is in the bi monthly copy of “One in seven” an RNID based publication .sorry for the mix up and again good luck with your story.
Javelin article.
I noticed you were asking about first hand info on people who were involved in operating the aircraft. In a past copy of Eco Echo a magazine dedicated to deaf people and published in Norfolk I read about a pilot who suffered hearing problems after flying jets for a few years and he talked about the Javelin causing him the most trouble.
I tried in vain to locate the copy but it must have gone for the recycle bin, anyway I can supply a contact phone number and an e mail address if its any help and they might be able to put you in touch with the chap who wrote the story for them.01362 687617 or e mail….eco.echo@virgin.net
It could be worth a try and I,m sure the magazine was relavent for this year, good luck.cheers.:)
Thanks Paul for the link to this site.;)

Could this photo which was taken at Elvington have been taken of the owner prior to Peter Teichman owning the aircraft.?
Vietnam
Having spotted the thread by lindoug about a U.S.pilots clandestine flying sorties shadowing as an R.A.F pilot led me to recall another grey area.
This was to deal with the conflict in Vietnam and my question was with information about our R.A.F or Naval forces aircraft and did they ever have any involvment in this conflict at any period. Thanks in advance if anyone can help with this question.
Neither did I at the time but it helps us learn.Ha,Ha.;);)
Well spotted
Hello Vultee,
I took this and noticed later on they had put some paintings against the tailwheel.I never went back to reshoot as there was so much to see and thought nobody will notice anyway,”Till today”:)
silk for the thread
Just a few more from me to keep the light shining on an interesting thread ,which might give a few people some pleasure when the food and drink fest has finally belched its last gush of fragrant air.:rolleyes:They are from Coventry,Waddington,Mildenhall and one from Elvington.I hope someone out there likes 1 or 2 as I have got lots more to put through the scanner.
By the way these are all scanned from 7×5 prints and I have done a little work on each of them to try and bring what i think is the best out of them. Thanks for looking.;)

Alconbury
Hope nobody minds me posting this but he was the chap that left me spell bound after his shows in the gnats both at Usworth in one of his first shows 65/66 and Acklington.I was wondering around acklington looking at the reds in my ATC uniform and some chap asked me a few questions and guess what he said if I had caught you earlier I might have been able to fix you up with a passenger flight.I nearly fell backwards and thought he was going to give me a bit of a telling off but those were the days when shows had planes and the planes gave a show and he was the”Best” showman.
