Thanks for the lovely pictures Martin.

The Jones boy is at La Ferte Alais in Paris this weekend with some of the other chaps from this forum so did not go to Shuttleworth.

Always love to see the pictures that are posted, whoever takes them. Well, cant be TOO many can there? (oops! controversial, sorry…!)

Well done all concerned. Maybe get there next time.

    Always a pleasure!

There are graveyards full of the bones of people who died so that we might vote, and whether you like the current crop of numpties or not, we owe it to the memory of those people to use the privilege.

My grandmother was a suffragette and would turn in her grave if I didn’t vote.

I do really believe that if you don’t vote sensibly, you are letting the party you DON’T want in!

As well as the fact we do live in the greatest democracy in the world, despite what the yanks will tell ya!!! I am proud to have the vote and I also do think of all those people from those two world wars for the opportunity while I am voting. I mean it too, honest.

    Steve

The Jones boy told me of your visit and that I should read about it here.
Now that I’ve stopped sniffing I thought I would say well done and beautifully done too.

Good to see you up and about Hurrichick 😀

    Thanks Nick!

The most animated I have been in two weeks!

England did ok too today, it was a very exciting game. Maybe they are getting it together now. It looks very promising after this evening.

RUGBY. A game with balls…(that happen to be funny shaped!!!)

    Absolutely!

The crowd included women and children wearing green and red shirts alongside eachother. It was wonderful stuff.

Yeah, football is full of overpaid over-egoed monosyllabic children.
Rugby. It is a mans game!

Just to be fair…I’ve revived this thread.

    The Welsh did it!
Text-book rugby that nearly had me jumping about from my sick bed!

Memories of their glorious years in the 70s came flooding back!
    Marvellous stuff and thoroughly deserved!

“Ian will be perfect as Mel Hutchwright and the cast and crew are looking forward to working with him on what promises to be a very funny storyline.”

More humour in the street! Can’t be a bad thing!
I gave up watching it when the Battersbys arrived…urgh!
I just might watch tho’ if Sir Ian is going to be in it. Great actor.

I was, (along with my parents, grandparents and sisters) a huge fan of Dave Allen in the early/mid 70s. As I was gradually understanding ‘adult’ humour, I have memories of being in fits of laughter, because I understood the jokes!
One of the greatest introductions to a bit o’ smut!

    Dave…Many thanks.

Makes me laugh that as soon as England start losing all the critics come out and the press shoot the team down.

    Yes…I’m one of them!

Sorry, you may disagree by all means, but Ireland vs England was a very ‘bitty’ game, from an England supporters perspective. Most unsatisfactory. No improvement either from the last game that I could see.

    That was not good rugby!

However on top of that I would like to congratulate the Irish on a grand victory.

Yes. Just better than England…much better!
As you say, we will return. Just a matter of cohesion!

A “good bloke”??!!! You serious? After all that messing around with camilla on his wedding night to diana & throughout their marriage; & you think he’s a “good bloke”??

He was pressured into the marriage. He didn’t love Diana, he loved Camilla and probably always will. It was a shame that she’d had a bit of a past and in the late sixties/early seventies, a virgin was required to be the next queen.

If she is poorly, maybe he is doing the right thing by her…

    Their business, not ours.

Oh yes it is our business! We put them there and we can, get rid of them if provoked. Think of the French Revolution, the Revolution of 1917 in Russia, they did it, and so could we! We must all agree to have her in that position. She’ll be representing our Country when on trips abroad etc and it is important that they do it right for all of us. I think they should marry, they should HAVE MARRIED! But they should do it with respect for people who are a little unsure of her and her not being QUEEN, but consort is an excellent idea. Suits me!
Poor old Charles deserves a little happiness. He is basically a good bloke, I think. An unusual taste in ‘attractive’, but hey!
