    I don’t mind at all, but that prop looks a bit frozen to me – are you sure it’s not one of Damien’s?

    Sorry. I am assured by himself that it is one of yours!
    I really wouldn’t even know how to put on an avi-wotsit (technical term…?)
    It was all his handy-work, not mine.

    Hey Robbo & Melv!
    Nice to be outed at last…I have been watching, learning and laughing for ages as just a drop-in or as HurricaneBird and at last I’m out!

    So Rob, did you recognise your art? My husband decided it was the best photo of a Hurricane to put in as that was what I wanted. I hope you don’t mind! But I aint gonna change it!!!

    Melv, I cant tell you how much I admire you for the job you have done on that Rearwin of yours. Terrific. I hope you are very pleased also, you certainly should be.

    Yes Good point Ashley.
    If the grading is 1-10, I’m knowledge-wise about 2.
    But if it is a real interest in keeping ’em up there flying and remembering the debt owed to airmen etc…then I’m an 8!

    It is really nice to be here with you.

    You wont, by the way, get too much intelligent comment (or otherwise I hasten to add) on aviation like Mr AiB contributes to this forum, as I have absorbed everything I have picked up on aviation through the ramblings of himself over these 16 years. But he did get me to have a real love of the Hurricane and for that I am eternally grateful…just don’t tell him I said that!!

    Mary Poppins…still love that film. (Despite **** Van Dyke’s terrible accent – not that I knew about that when I was 4!)
    Hope to see it in the West End while it’s running there. Sounds like it would be worth making the effort from the reviews I’ve heard.

    Every kid should see the film! – It should be law!

    Wonderful! Such blue sky…our cousins over the water wont believe the weather we have had today!

    As it is the 60th anniversary next year, perhaps more of these Poppy drops will go on throughout the country…?

    Poppy Day..Week…Month…Year – We Remember!

    New member speaking for the first time on a serious note, close to my heart.

    The amount of ‘Poppies’ sold each year never ceases to gladden my heart.
    People do stop in supermarkets or in bars to buy them. The minute it takes to do this in all of our very busy lives are to my mind tributes in themselves.

    Official minutes silences are important and must never stop, but people remember, I’m sure of it…
