Possibly, but don’t you think a rant is warranted?.In honesty,I hadn’t picked up on the “schedule changes” post but it hardly headlined the latest (or last even) desertion of an airport by BA,did it? To be fair,UK Airport News site reports even the airport authorities are angry.

I actually did an aviation trip (by road) to Belarus some years ago…….makes Cuba look modern and advanced!I’d be reluctant to travel on any Belarus registered a/c unless it was rare and I was desperate to add it to my “types flown” list.I hope you’ve got a good reason to go there as nobody would go there without one

Thanks for some of the latest comments guys.Glad you got your Travel Service Hayden!Annoyingly it’s the only one I’ve seen before

Many thanks for response on lens,Paul. To be fair,3 years into digital from slides,I am only now getting used to the concept of post-editing and in recent weeks have found some old shots taken with 28-300 can be dramatically improved with a touch of sharpening (and other adjustments) but the results straight off EOS350D and 400D (set for sharp) were often terrible. However,it should be said that as a rather older contributor with perhaps more time and ability to travel, most of my trips are not “spur of the moment” to my local (BRS !!) but are pre-planned and often badly affected by weather so I’m probably persevering in worse conditions than many would.Being a real fan of Ryanair “cheapies” I also want to travel light so the 50-500 or Canon 100-400 don’t necessarily suit the purpose.

Thanks for the comments guys Apart from going for the Travel Service I was really “playing” with a couple of different lenses on my 400D on what was routine traffic!

Beautiful shots,Paul. Is the Tamron 28-300 lens to which you refer the XR Di one?If it is,you’ve done better with it than I and a mate did……..both of us ebay-ed ours at a loss fairly quickly having been terribly disappointed with lack of sharpness.

Don’t be so modest,it’s a great set of shots and nice to see some from not the AVP.The XL 737 could maybe do with darkening a tad

Thanks for the comments.I too usually miss things like these two ATRs.Yes,Grey Area….737 was from the golf course.Bad news……having been told another plain white one arriving from Seattle today at 15.10,it actually turned out to be an “old” one in full old livery which I missed when it arrived arround 12.15!!!
Barry
Sorry,Mod,you are quite right …….didn’t know the mechanics of doing so and will have to learn. In the meantime,as the headings have disappeared, for those looking the 737 was at Filton 19/3,the ATRs at BRS 17/3

“Coaches” usually means passengers are arriving at another UK airport and being transferred by road and I’d be certain that was the case here.As for reason…could be several e.g.too few passengers so flight combined with, say,MAN or BHX or same scenario due tech prob on aircraft, simple shortage of a/c (or crew like one I was on 2 weeks ago!!)…..the possibilities are numerous but I’d think not weather if LBA and AMS were operating for all other flights.Could be out of position aircraft after freak weather over a couple of days.

Nobody, particularly Tommy, seems to have mentioned common courtesy.Of course it is a pain having to stop talking to your companion every time the crew make announcements about duty free sales etc or the flight crew provide information on progress or,in this case,an important safety announcement but it is bang out of order to carry on talking when others want to listen and one certainly wouldn’t do it in a cinema or theatre……or maybe these days some would!About 80% of passengers are as rude as this man and it’s great he got his come-uppance.
Barry
Thanks Steve and Grey Area …………..always happy with comments good or bad.Fully agree on both latter points. You simply can’t dislike an IL76 (particularly if you DID like ATPs!) and I was hoping for better clarity on several shots but at 4.15pm on a crap day I was probably pretty delighted compared with film/slide days.Whilst I would avoid posting a rubbish quality pic,I’d admit as an older poster to being more impressed with unusual visitors than trying to get a superb shot of the 60th EZY in a day at my local (Bristol)!!

Hi Hayden
Thanks for comments…….in view of the 2 rarities I expected more……but perhaps not enough blue and orange!!
Barry
Sorry I duplicated the Libyan

Hi Steve
Ignore previous uncompleted post!
Just happened to notice your question…….Runway is around 7000ft so not really suitable for “proper” heavies operations but did see Tristars and suchlike on Spanish charters in the past.
