Disagree. In the A2A arena it all boils down to so many parameters that both can win against the other. The end result cannot be seen on brochures.

No but we can speculate which one has the slight advantage.

I don’t think EW pods are that effective unless they are huge. Missiles can be guided via datalink in multiple frequencies and multiple com types. Also AESA can be used to communicate. AESA is incredibly difficult to jam with DRFM pods(what most self defense pods use) since they are only targeting a set frequency. Barrage noise jamming is much more effective against frequency agile radars but have to be really powerful like a EC-130H or a Growler to blunt the 1600(more than 10 kW radar) T/R module APG-81. Also the high gain APG-81 is just as effective in the X-band jamming as a Prowler due to its narrow steering beams. AESA will be the next generation of Electronic Warfare as proven in the Next Generation jammer.

RWR can also be a countermeasure against noise jamming. Since such high power is emitted, it automatically lights up yourself for a anti-radiation shot. The F-35’s ASQ-239 and the AIM-120 AMRAAM HOJ warhead if triangulated correctly can deliver a shot.
