ah right…cheers David. After my experiences on both a BA 777 and a BA 747 I’d rather a 747 though…oh well, beggers can’t be choosers.
Agreed, I thought the waves on the tail was good.
Congratulations Elgan! 🙂
I passed 6000 last week… god, I really need to get a life!
ha ha. 😀
I know the owners. Good people.
I’m not surprised it looks good. They know that a well kept plane keeps longer than one run into the ground.
Thats what happened to an Alaskan MD82/3…the airline was too concentrated on making money and slightly slack on its engineering and one day on a flight from Peurto Vallerta to Los Angeles the plane crashed.
Proves a good point that does about looking after a plane.
wow. You would have thought a pilot would remember to do fundemental radio comms.
At least it wasn’t too serious.
Quite an interesting article. Rembember T5 is for One World, and not just for BA, and therefore Qantas will of course be bringing their A380s in from the start.
😀 Sorry I didn’t see your new post pop up…
p.s MarkL-when I was at LHR last time I asked my Uncle who is good friends with a pilot from QF and apparently QF will still use their 747’s into LHR. I would have thought QF will use both really.
Now one thing that struck me is that T5 can handle the A380,but it’s also going to be solely for the use of BA,unless they get screwed again like on T4.
Good Point but I think in the long term T5 will be the same as T4 where that airlines from the OneWorld Alliance will be able to use it. Now, personally I don’t know many airlines in the alliance but I’m sure there is one that is ordering the A380 and will be using it to LHR.
I think that first paragraph is unfair when they state that unless the government pays then we won’t be building their wings. Bribary is ok to a certain degree but not when hundreds of jobs are at stake.
I too think Airbus are aggogant. Just because their sales have been margianly better than their competitors, they think its always going to be like that. Well, its not. They need to face up to the fact that if they have designed an aircraft that isn’t going to outsell its competing aircraft (in this case 787) then there is no need to make threats or whatever.
