Oshkosh
Ah… very nice, Papa Lima! That removed the distraction.
I just added my Oshkosh vintage aircraft page up on my site.

Enjoy….
109 and Spitfire
Well… the people were all around and I just ran up and made the shot quick! Yes… that was one of the days it was raining so the lighting is bad but it still came out ok. One of these days when I have time I’ll play with a photo progam to fix offending buckets and people. At this time I spend most of my computer time reading these forums and posting pictures on my web site!
When I was shooting pictures of the razorback Mustang I had to make sure I didnt get JDK and Steve in one of my shots! 😀

109 and Spitfire
This shot I took turned out pretty good… except the bucket and caution tape in the way! Was tempted to move it. Someone doing the parking had the great idea to put them side-by-side or it just worked out that way.
Corsairs
I would venture to guess that these two Corsairs (there are still two under rebuild, right?) will be the “newest” Corsairs out there as far as being built up with alot of new metal. Neat stuff!
I like the self portrait in the shadow on the Seafury wing!

First portrait
I have posted some pictures of my early aviation exposure on my web site. Look under the link My Aeronautical Journey. The Learjet 23 was one of my first but I think the P47 might have been one of the earliest warbird-vintage-classics. Fun post and I have asked quite a few people the same question about their early exposure to things aeronautical.

How is the check out going in the Fury, Steve? You already have your type or are you training now? Cool to see pictures of Spirit of Texas!!! You let the “Fury out of the bag”!!!

SBD
There are three regular fliers. The CAF’s, Planes of Fame’s and the Lone Star Flight Museum’s. Would be great to see some movie with a group of Wildcats, Dauntless, TBMs!
Check out the pictures from this airshow! TBMs everywhere!
Oshkosh
Do we have a good group from this forum that will be at Oshkosh? I’ll be hanging around the P51 “Daddy’s Girl” part of the time and then sitting under my 170 flying the Texas flag the rest of the time. Hope to see some new stuff!
Inbound to Oshkosh
Sounds like this will be a good year for new restorations. A couple new Mustangs… I am sure a couple D models and then the TP-51C. Maybe Kermits TP-40N? As always some new vintage stuff as well. A new Ford Trimotor restoration… Oh… and a nice polished 170! Not going to take any awards… but it is a clean one! 😀 Looking forward to sitting under the wing and watching the aviation world go by.
Lockheed 12
Franck… can I use your Lockheed 12 pictures on my Lockheed Survivors Photo web site? I’ll leave your photo credit/logo on the pictures.

Seafire
Crystal Lakes and Greenskeeper… great pictures! Will have to add those to my collection along with the ones that Steve took here in Texas. Hope you have seen the pictures in CLASSIC WINGS magazine… Steve’s pictures along with some I took during the restoration are in there. (What is our next project Steve?)
A friend of mine use to live up there are did some work for Mr. Smith. Heard about the collection for years but never seen pictures. It really is an amazing setting for a fly-in ranch!
