The lack of any snow on the ground in London. Everything is either a sludgy, icy mess (well, it was earlier this morning) that is quite dangerous to walk on, or the ground is just wet. Damnit, I want proper snow!

Now that is just gorgeous. Bring that beauty to the UK or I’ll take myself to Russia!

The inability of many drivers to take care when driving on icy roads. They don’t seem to realise that the absence of snow along the centre of the road doesn’t necessarily mean the absence of ice, too.

The German I-16 Rata and some more Yak 3s from France, please! A big gathering of Russian warbirds would be pretty special.

Pirates of the Caribbean – At World’s End

Bloated, over-long and way too convoluted for its own good.

A dreary end to the franchise. They really should have just left it at one, though.

Agreed. The third one is just swerve after swerve, for the sake of it. I’m sure that if you were to sit down and pick apart the mess, there wouldn’t even be a logical reason for it all. Still, when there’s money to be made…

There are rumblings of a 4th movie, too.

A bit of indirect hose fire, sure – but only if there is a good reason for doing so (i.e. demolishing flower arrangements etc)! Generally, the cats around my area are fairly well behaved. A few years ago there were at least a dozen living locally, which was pretty bad. Loitering around the shed, looking shifty, vandalising flower beds, passing round the catnip…

Personally, I love cats. Mine is a Blue Persian (or a Persian Blue, depending on who you talk to) and she doesn’t go outside. She’s spent almost 8 years living indoors and, being a very sedate and eternally sleepy little moggy, I don’t think she’s lost out.

As for the suggestion that cats should be shot – Cleo is not impressed!

this one for me… came on itunes shuffle 5 minutes after i found out one of my best friends had been killed in a car crash 🙁

Good arrows, I’m a big fan of In Loving MemoryMetalingus and Broken Wings also frequent my iPod fairly regularly. Very sorry to hear about your best friend.

I Believe by the lovely Katherine Jenkins (with Andrea Bocelli) is my current “most played”, replacing Run Free by Hans Zimmer (the full version of the music used by the ‘Horsemen’ Mustang team).

Didn’t the French one end up returning to France with the gear locked down? I seem to recall it also missed its displays at La Ferte Alais due to mechanical/electrical issues.

Correct – there were gear problems at La Ferte and the aircraft, from what I remember of what was reported, was only fully serviceable a few days before she flew to the UK for Legends.

Just returned, displayed and landed. I wonder maybe for the last time.?!

Isn’t it staying in the UK now? At least for next year. Someone on another forum spoke to the owner at the American Air Day who apparently confirmed that they’d secured funds to keep her here for next year at the least.

    Here’s hoping…

Oh, and so far today I’ve seen a BAe146 and a Fokker 50 on approach to the City Airport from my office window. Excitement~! 😉
