    The Scots are the 2nd most obese race in the developed world (behind the USA) Don’t forget they gave us the deep fried battered Mars bar:)

    As Frankie Boyle once said, ‘Nobody thought Mel Gibson could play a Scot but look at him now! A wife beating, alcoholic, racist..’

    Can’t argue with that but I am sure Arthur will after his second pint of Buckie!:D

    I’d be interested to know where you got that information about obesity Paul. Sure it would make interesting reading if its factual.

    Aye, bit of a different design as you say Tornado64.I think its quite fetching. Bit of a cheap shot about alcoholism though. Arent they about to start minimum pricing for alcohol south of the border as well? Pot, kettle comes to mind!

    Moggy and Lincoln I agree with you. Cant think of one good reason to keep dolphins and killer whales in captivity to perform for humans’ entertainment. These animals belong in their natural element. Visited a water park in Majorca some years ago where they kept performing dolphins a matter of a hundred yards from the sea, where they should really be.What a bloody shame for these poor creatures. As for killing whales for “research”-just sounds like an excuse. I saw trailers for a documentary about what happens to dolphins in the Faroes a while back. Could not watch the programme. I did see one about sharks being landed just for their fins to make soup,however. Just as bad in my view.
