Going to sound like an old bufty here but when I were a lad in the 60’s and 70’s -we had some real serious snow. Dont remember the country grinding to a halt then.

“Arctic Weather Conditions” every time the temperature drops below zero for a couple of days, “severe weather” warnings every time theres a drop- of snow.
Cue hysterical laughter from our friends in Scandinavia.

Not aware of any problems in my neck of the woods with stab proof vests and weapons and Ive got two kids at the local secondary school. Sure these stories sell newspapers though.
