TE462 back on public display at East Fortune. I think I approve of the way its displayed. Some restoration could have been carried out in advance patricularly the cropped propellor blades that always look odd to me. A great improvement over how it was displayed before.

Looks good displayed like that. Agree with your comment re the prop blades and not having had some work done on it.
Always seemed to me to be a rather forlorn exhibit. Shame, since it was one of the first aircraft they had there-if not the first.

Sorry to hear of your loss. It hits hard when you have to say goodbye to a much loved pet. Been there too many times myself. Lovely pic by the way.

It’s not exactly ancient and it’s not a monument. Am I missing something here?

Very much looking forward to building the Airfix model of this beautiful aeroplane that Santa left for me this morning. Haven’t built a model for many years, couldn’t resist this one.

I would just like to add my round of applause to the team who brought her back to life and put her in the air in front of thousands of people to experience the spectacle. Eight years of a sight and sound I never thought I would experience again and every second of it was savoured. They did an incredible job.

Great filming but ruined by awful commentary delivered by a “narrator” treating the audience like simpletons. Lost count of the times he told us they were flying at 400 miles per hour. At least he didn’t say “daredevil, mid-air or top gun”
