Its the summertime. Sometimes it gets hot.
Doent mean we’re all going to be on the recieving end of a global catastrophe.

For small bits of non adhesion, you can get stuff called balsa loc, which is like a sort of white glue.
The other thing Ive done is to paint a coat of white glue thinned with water over the model, let it dry then cover.
Of course its always possible you’ve got a duff batch of covering material-happened to me with some red film once-nothing I could to to fix it.
Its not expensive to buy-Solarfilm is good, and easy to clean.
Was your fuselage contaminated with fuel?
I had this problem with one of mine (discussed on another thread).
I stripped the lot, sprayed it with Flair fuel proof paint (matt grey) and the solarfilm went on no problemo.
If you want a good cammo finish, follow the traditional method with tissue paper and dope, then spray paint.

    Thanks Steve.
It was a bit awkward where all the mess was because of cabane struts but I managed to fix it. I’ve since crashed it another two times and yet to get it back in the air. Not bad piloting I hasten to add, just wind and bad luck on take off both times. My other plane flies beautifully!

I wonder did Alastair finish his Fokker?

    Moggy 🙁

He must have got pretty close to finishing it.
We had spoken about covering and the last time I saw him, he had done it,so I assume he was pretty much there.

Bet you get better flying weather out there than I do here.
Its windy a lot of the time, so I have to take the chance when I can-not often enough, hence the long period of training.

    ‘Bout 5 years or thereabouts.
Just got my Bronze recently. It was one of those silly accidents-just on the take off run a crosswind gust caught it and flipped the wing up. Didnt have enough speed to correct properly and over it went. Broke the cabane struts. Theyre not very substantial and although built carefully to plan, I dont think much of the method of fixing them to the cabane baseplate. Think it needs pinning but theres not a lot of room for it. Back to the workshop to do some more work on it. Shame because its a lovely scale model of G-EBXU and really looks the part in blue and silver.
Still got my Kamco Kavaleirs to play with so not a major problem, just a bit of a pain after all the time Ive spent on it. Got photos but the file sizes are too large and I dont have any fancy photo editing software to reduce the file sizes. So, what about yourself then?

    Thanks Cracker.
I managed to sort it out with a liberal coat of Flair grey fuelproof paint, re-covered, rebuilt,………piled it into the ground again yesterday.
    It is a silly hobby.

I was led to believe that this particular airframe was one of the few previously transported in one piece and had been basically intact.
I’m glad its been moved to a caring home after watching it slowly moulder on top of its perch for such a long time.
I’ve got some photos here I took at the turn of the year, but the file sizes are too big for here unfortunately.
