Small point about the Spit. I’ve been visiting MOF since about 1976, and dont remember any engine runs ever being carried out. I know it was talked about at one point.
I would imagine the colour scheme is the least of the worries at the moment.
A wee bit of work needs to be done first!
My mistake-I meant to say UV not ND.
It will also reduce the amount of light entering your lens, meaning a slower shutter speed or wider aperture-something you need to take into account with a telephoto.
If youre only using it to protect your lens surface, you could consider a neutral density filter.
I use my polariser on holiday, where there’s always plenty of light, and blue skies, and it does make a difference.
