A Luftwaffe one? 😮
Note to self to read things properly…..
You’ll find me on the naughty step with Mr Cogdon.
Isn’t there a Beaufort under restoration to flight in Oz?
Sure if Private Fraser was here he would be telling us “We’re all doomed. Doomed I tell ye” Nothing NK likes better than a bit of rhetoric and bad publicity. Not concerned in the slightest.

Respect.
I visited that awful place a few months ago. These dreadful events must never be forgotten.

Doesn’t this belong in General Aviation?
I agree. Its not exactly historic aviation.
I found a marker shell in one of those gun emplacements when I was up there with the ATC in 1977.
When folks are having a grumble or go as far as a flounce in relation to what is posted on this forum they should take a look at threads like this. Amazing stuff.
ye near kingston, Id love to see pics of your stuff. If you are referring to a pillbox at the forest? its the only one I have found that has the original camo netting on it (intact) need to photograph it actually
I’ll have a root about. Probably be the weekend. Some stuff was very small and fragmented, which I found near the car park , there were small bits with black paint on and also some with blue/grey (like Fleet Air Arm) which were larger. The pillbox-well I remember it being on the other side of the dunes where it’s forested so it wouldn’t be far away from where your shots were taken.
Fascinating post. Looks like its on the raised beach near Kingston? Found some aluminium pieces on that beach some years ago near where the firing range is, must see if I have photos somewhere. Plenty of airfields near there and plenty of crashes too by all accounts. Had a walk round some of those gun emplacements back in the early eighties, one of the ones further back in the trees still had the remains of netting draped over it.
Flickr works fine for me. Keep all my best stuff there.
