Great pictures, shame you missed the last Continental flight from BRS. I thought the latest on the FCX 767 was that it is going to be repaired by Boeing engineers at BRS in a temporary hanger in the next few weeks???
Absolutly love the first BA 747 shot. By the looks of the weather I bet you didn’t stick around for too long!
Well done Jet 2!!!!!
Jet 2 are currently selling tickets on their website for transport from Barcelona, Alicante and Murcia to Leeds Bradford Airport for departure tomorrow morning at 8am.
Travel will be by coach and ferry.
No problem LBArules.
It would be fantastic though if SN did codeshare on the LBA route with the bmi aircraft as it would open up more connections. SN did rather well in the past at LBA before the events of 9/11 flying four rotations a day with the Avro jets.
The Bristol flight is operated by bmi but with a SN flight number. The Leeds flight is operated by bmi with only a bmi flight number. Nothing to do with SN.
100% operated by bmi on a ERJ135.
Thanks for the links. Makes for some rather interesting listening. Its still very hard to understand how difficult those 30 seconds must have been on the flightdeck.
If its operated by LPL crew then assume it will be A319.
Oh and yes it will be a plane in Easyjet colours!
1 767 confirmed – ex Varig machine and another one under consideration again an ex Varig machine. Should be with the fleet by May 2010.
I thought controllers in the UK were employed by the CAA, not by individual airports?
Are you thinking of NATS? NATS don’t control ATC at all UK airports.
Same as summer 2009. A320 CFM as the CFM copes better on the longer sectors out of LBA.
A340-600! Not as many opportunities to fly on this lovely looking aircraft. Something a bit different and a much newer aircraft then the 747.
Don’t Jet2 have one of 737QC based at Stansted? If this is the case then I’m sure that this will be the ac that they use on occasional charters during the day.
BA 767 from Calgary looks likes its heading to MAN.
It doesn’t appear if everything is diverting as there is nothing else heading up North at the minute. Strange though that the BA 777 is still holding over NCL.
