    The site needs an overall history of the program exploring the politics and decisions that led to the ATF program followed by an overview of the YF-23’s development in comparison to the YF-22 through to the eventual selection of the Raptor. An overview of the engine development would be good as well…

    Finally get rid of the visit counter at the bottom of the homepage they make sites look amateurish.

    All valid points. I originally planned to cover all those aspects but then I got thinking…. you’ll have to wait and see what I thought…;)

    so did the YF-23 only had one large bay not two? I was always wondering about this.

    That’s right. The YF-23 was only ever a test mule, a bare bones hotrod. Full functionality was planned for the production variant. That’s where Lockheed may have held some sway because there were certain aspects of their prototype that were closer to the production variant, like the weapons bays.
