    is it the same Sea Harrier i wonder that was on Central News the other night.. someone used it as part exchange at a truck dealership.. that to was Pegasus”less” and missing her seat.. the chap also said she flew in the Falkland campaign.. did he mean it was rebuilt from a airframe that did see service in that war.. eny info on the other surviving Sea Harriers.

    😡 😡 😡 … how very very sad.. many years ago British people was proud to be British.. that does not make me feel very proud.. a fantastic aircraft with YEARS of service left in it being ******* sold on ebay.. Nelson would be spinning in his grave.. someone please tell me .. what air to air capability has the ONCE GREAT royal navy got now.. i thought them F-35 things was not in service yet and i dont think Tornados or Typhoons are carrier capable, mind you a Merlin equiped with AMRAAMs would be pretty awesome.. the Sea Harrier FA-2 should be still on deck protecting our ONCE GREAT navy from air attack. 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡

    very nice pics.. i think a thread about Soviet “classics” has to enclude the most classic Ruskie of all.. the Mig-21 Fishbed.. so some nice pics of Soviet 21s would be very nice.. my favorite version has to be the bis model.. when was the last combat regiments of Fishbeds retired from Soviet, Russian or Ukrainian service.. am i right in thinking it was the reccie ones… 🙂

    i agree… i mean when was the last time the IDF or even the USAF for that matter fought against overwhelming odds.. eny “sledge hammer to swat a wasp” approach always looks good and impressive.. apart from Veitnam of course..

    it is hard to imagine now, but at the end of hostilities in 1945 the RAF alone had something like 57.000 aircraft on its books, and 1.000.000 personal.. the Royal Navy probabley had more ships then all the navys in the world today put together.. i agree it is very sad to see our beloved armed forces being slowly wittled down to nothing. but i am afraid its the sign of the times.. realisticly most nations just dont need huge airforces ,navys enymore.. but i do agree that its getting a bit passed a joke now…

    i would have to put the RAF, FAA and AAC pilots as the best trained in the world. these would be the brave men and woman who would defened my country in time of war, as well as all the other British armed forces. i think most people would put there nations armed forces first. i do on the other hand highly respect other nations forces.. the likes of.. Russia, USA, Germany, Canada, Australia, Sweden…
    my only worry is, if there is more cuts in the RAF, FAA, AAC there wont be much left for our pilots to fly… :rolleyes:

    from my bedroom window i get a great veiw of helicopters landing at Hereford County Hospital… mostly air ambulances “about 4 or 5 times a week” but i have also seen a couple of Sea Kings a AAC Gazelle and Agusta visiting in the last 6 months.. i took these shots earlier today.. 🙂

    I have to agree Misery actually made me sit there and feel for that man, not scared as such but every time she went in to his room it made me want to hit her in the face with a house brick.

    Im ashamed to admit it but the first time I watched Blair witch it totally Sh** me up.

    the first time i watched Blair Witch i was house sitting for my brother, it was about 11 o clock at night and i was alone.. i can tell you i never got much sleep that night.. :rolleyes:

    what about a B-58 hustler.. better still a XB-70… with a Vulcan, Victor and Blinder thrown in for good measure.. then i could up stage the B-1, B-52 at Fairford…. and everything else for that matter… 😉 😀

    i could think of hundreds of aircraft types i would love to restore and fly.. but top of the list would be… jet.. Sea Vixen “off course” or Su-15 Flagon or F-105 thundercheif.. prop.. Tempest V or Beaufighter or Stirling.. 🙂
