yes i would love a good program about the Buccaneer, there must be plenty of footage out there to make a exellent hour long film, also is there eny good programs available about Sea Vixens, Scimitars and Javelins,. footage of these types seem to be very rare.
i can remember years ago at a airshow watching a video in a tent all about RAF Buccaneer operations, it must have been a original RAF film because i have never heard of it since, from what i can remember it was very interesting, are these films available for the public to buy i wonder..

my father tells me he worked on a farm in the mid to late 60s when he left school, he started off driving a grey fergie until he was promoted to a “huge” fordson major. if i can remember right he earned about 16 pounds “and sixpence” a week, but he says his 16 quid went a lot further then his wages today.
as for my childhood i can remember when i was very young having a black and white tellie, half pennys, austin maxis and allegros, also F-4 Phantoms, Jet Provests, and Harrier GR-3s flying over. and who can forget the USAF A-10s that was based over here… ahhhhh those where the days… 🙂

did the Germans nick-name the He-111 Bat Wing or was it the Allies, as for other German aircraft i think there designations was a sort of nick-name, like simply 109, 110 and 88s.
has enyone eny idea what names or nick-name the Soviets had for some of there types, i have heard the Yak-38 pilots gave there steeds some unkind names, eny idea what, useless pile of crap, in Russian was probably one..:D

Yet if a dog attacks and maims a child it’s put down straight away

personally i think that is wrong as well.. the owners of the dog should be punished, i have a young baby in my home also a dog, not a large dog but the way we have treated her and reared her she is good natured and has learned to respect all her “pack” members, even the cat !!!!.
just like us humans if you bring them up the right way they will not turn out to be nasty or violent. also most dog attacks are the fault of us, i mean would you leave your young son or daughter alone in a room with a large bad tempered dog.. i wouldent…

Oh please!!!!human life is more sacrosanct than any animal or marine life

in a way i agree with you.. but you have to remember Sharks have just as much right to live on this planet as we do, like every over living creature.. we just have to accept the way Sharks and other large predators behave. it was not the Sharks fault the boy was attacked it was his. we Humans do not own this planet we are simpley living on it with billions of other creatures. when the tables are turned against us in nature we should just accept it, its just part of life. whats all the fuss. if i put my hand in a ants nest i will get stung, if i swim in a river full of crocs i will probabley get eaten. why cant we accept we are just part of nature..
