Wow, you guys sound so ‘professional’. Jackasses, the only one who is close to being a professional is me, as I am the only one here with a university degree.
Now, I’m no so familiar with all the N001 or whatever names, but, answer me this: Why are the Chinese buying so many Russian weapons. I thought the Chinese hate to lose face. By buyingso many foreign stuffs, don’t they lose face?
I have been called a professional student once…… 😀
Hey Burgerboy- Noone here is complaining about all the Pampa posts, and the K-8 is certainly more relevent to the Pampa since it will be in opositon to Indias trainer.
PLA- Thanks for the info, can you tell me if Pakistan has already started production on the K-8? And thanks for the specs Wachy.
K8 – BJT
H36 – IJT
Pampa – AJT/COIN
Pampa was posted as it looked very similar to IJT. If you want to know more about K8, open another thread. 😡
I am talking about like the ops in NE in early december, where IA had to go against usual lot of 1000’s of ULFA buggers.
IA only provided logistical support. RBA did all the fighting. 🙂
Then again, NE is not crawling with stingers or SA7/14/16/18s (did i get them right?) So choppers will do fine. 😉
You may shoot yourself…
Harry, I was serious when I asked that question. Please email me at ravula at myway dot com
India’s first indeginous turbojet engine – the HAL HJE-2500,
You’d rather not know why the engine did’nt make it into service. 😡
Why? 😉
erm…………why is everyone making a big deal out of the news? the date speaks for itself osent it? everyone knows its an old article. so why care it he posted it?
it is not wrong to post accidents happening in testing and so cool it sharmaji and ravula. seems like you are tying to flame this thread more than he is.
Actually, I had to restrain myself from posting the most obvious conclusion as it will most certainly cause huge flames 😀
I am not trying to flame this thread FYI. But would like to know what was offensive in my post. PM me as I wouild like to take the discussion off this thread.
Sharma. It was just a copy paste from the magazine we all know here (AFM). Why don’t you write them to correct this in the next edition? Man. Some just can’t move their complex and share the joy of aviation.
PLA, the “News” you posted is atleast 4 months old. Its not “News” anymore. I don’t see any reason why that must be posted here unless you are trying to flame. 😡
Rafale is the best plane for India, and they can whoop some FC-1 ass.
Thanks, we will take 300 or 400 examples at $1 each. Send them over tomorrow. :p
True enough, HAL will surely need to be building up more production lines, I don’t know if its optimal, just think about it, Mirage line, LCA line, Sukhoi line, MiG-29K maintainance, jag maintainance, MiG-27 upgrade etc etc etc, that is a lot, one thing is for sure, HAL will be helping out the unemployment rate for years to come.
The new Government minimum program draft is out and for defence it talks about speeding up defence procurements and using all the defence funds allocated in buying defence equipment as fast as possible and not letting the fund sit and end up being returned to the Gov at the end of the financial year, see we told you that defence procurement would not change.
Permanent Defence fund was setup by NDA. No longer will the funds go back to govt every year 😀
it already has… “The flight controls of JF-17 aircraft are commanded through six computers and operated by two hydraulic systems.”
😀
So, does anybody know if the T-90 will be able to trap on the Gorshkov without extensive modifications to its landing gear?
😀
Sure it can. But Russians and Indians are working on a CAT to launch it. 😎 😀
What has happend to IAF’s plan to either get some 150 I think it was M2K-5s or Mig-29Ms? Who won and what happend?
Elections happened. New govt will decide on that.
and J-10 use 22% composite
material in body if not morel.
Source?
The thing how they develop the quality, generally Japanese quality is considered better than European ones, You know Kaizan and all that stuff…
They cannot develop quality, they developed processes that reduced deviations. FYI, Kaizen has a very big part in JIT, not in QC. The only advantage of Kaizen in QC is that smaller batches reduces scrap if a process step is out of spec.
That’s true about user requirements. Japan matches the US in importing Chinese made stuff, and the Japanese are extremely quality conscious.
Every race on this planet is quality concious. Every one wants to buy products that last forever  .
When you mention that Japanese are quality concious, you have to realize that they understood/realized that quality pays sonner and kind of made it into a religion. 😀
