I do think we underestimate the American audience in both film and TV, after all theres no Americans in Harry Potter, TinTin, War horse, and I presume these are expected to do well in the states, as for TV theres no American characters in the Tudors, and only 1 in Downton Abbey.

As i have already stated in another thread GK films is owned by Graham King (OBE) a film producer who is British and has quite a good CV, I saw a trailer for his latest film “Hugo” which looked quite impressive.

if there is a good story to be told, and it is done well, it will sell

    Cheers

At least the poducer Graham king (OBE) is British, and also has a decent CV

This may not be too bad, if it happens.

Tony Scott is in the frame to direct “Hells Angels” , before you get excited it is a biopic about Hells Angels (as in motorbike gang) leader Sonny Barger

    Hello,

    Theres a bit more here:

    http://www.deadline.com/2011/10/gk-films-plans-wwii-battle-of-britain/

GK Films do actually appear to make films, and it does not appear to be anything to do with “finest Hour”

    Cheers

    Hello,

Apperently the 31 year old teacher I mentioned in my earlier post was male, his case has been referred to the Crown court, as Magistrates can only sentence up to 6 months, Crown court up to 10 years, this seems to be happening to most cases.

    Apologies

    Hello

“The little-known 1886 Riot Damages Act allows insurance companies, individuals and businesses to reclaim their losses from local police authorities, funded by the public. “

This is probably why no politician has used the word “Riot” yet.

    Hello,

Just read that the first person to appear at highbury court this morning pleading guilty to taking part in the looting of a music store in Croydon, was a 31 year old female TEACHER !!

Getting quite despondent about all this.

    Hello,

my point was there was no clamour to have RR299 returned to its trainer colours after filming.

I have no problem using film markings as that was a part of this aircrafts personal history.

Or maybe “Sally B” should revert to its Institut Geographic National markings, as it still wears its “Memphis Belle” markings, a film now 20+ years old but still a part of its history.

    Cheers

    Hello,

Also with respect if it was was not for a film in 1968 how many Bouchons would we have today in any sort of scheme, as many were rescued from a scrap heap anyway (preservation not being high on Francos list of priorities).

Did,nt Mosquito RR299 fly in “633 Squadron” markings HT E?

Anyway I think it looks brilliant, and cant wait to see it in the flesh.

    Cheers
