And i have come across an old black /white photo of the tail end sticking out of its shed all those years ago taken by my late father, bless him .He saw it all in those days.
Yes put it on the Yam Halifax, its sooooo obvious
Well i cant remember Gary Numan being ridiculed,im suprised ,i liked his music then and still do and im a or was a rocker. To see him flying then was also a good boost to why i loved everthing to do with aircraft .
i saw the 2 lancs at headcorne there was a main military vehicle display and the airfield is a grass runway surrounded by trees and roling countryside its a lovely setting.Dont stand next to the miniture tank rides tho if your video the show they are very noisey and doesnt stop all day …knobs lol
doesnt look like its crashed to me. only joking !!!
That looks beautiful guys well done all involved .
Will these hercules engines fit on the Beaufighter at duxford.
Where is it going then not bothered about the cost lol
Its a good job talented people can bring back an aircraft from extinction and what a brilliant job they are doing .My father passed away this january ex RAF.He has a shed full of old bolts and nuts not necessarily to do with aircraft but the are old english makes in there .The only problem is its in Staffordshire quite a way from Yeovil.
If i was in the usaf i wouldnt bother to attend after the thanks they got in their B-52 the other year ,we seem to be getting better at moaning these days.
Great news i know its american etc ,and i like american planes, but it came close to being scrapped.
Wonderful news i can remember seen that at RAFM Hendon, when will they announce what the dutch are giving in return ?
Wow I’ve never seen anything like it that looks so real. What a brilliant job you guys are doing and like someone else has said the possibilities are endless.I think you guys are going to have quite a following.I wonder if someone will ask for the TITANIC…LOL its doable
Just to let you know i managed to get a visit in at the museum .The family stayed in the car but I loved it .The staff were so enthusiastic and it looks small scale ,saw the Shackleton ( in bits).First time in a Varsity, havent seen the Harrier before some renovation work going on with the Sea Hawk.I then got talking to the guide who told me where the Lightning came from and i was able to tell him i had seen it years ago travelling down M6,which then led onto another Business that was going on in the airfield, wow this gave me a different view of the museum and its hopes for the future, could of listened to him all day ,and i have to say it lifted my spirits for the preservation world.
Thanks to you all, I will have to drag the family with me but they are happy if im happy .
