Thanks, but the interest comes from it being me flying it (almost). It wouldn’t have been me in December.
A couple of minutes after that pic was taken, we got hit from behind by a Yak 18 while waiting at the hold. Fortunately he had time to stop his engine, but we had some rudder damage. Repairs underway.

I’d be very interested to see a larger version of the DA40 pic (G-CDEK) 😀

I went to see that display, aged 12.
The Meteor was indeed EE549, now at Tangmere.

I bought a Canberra control column a few years ago for £40. The stallholder had left Mrs. in charge for a while and I’m sure she underpriced it – sold it on Ebay a while later for £140 🙂 One of the few times I’ve come out ahead!

Was that not a film role? Played Pappy Boyington on screen I think.

Actor Neville Brand (Tora Tora Tora – You want confirmation? There’s your confirmation!) – earned quite a few medals himself.

IIRC Sterling Hayden and Anthony Quayle were both involved in some irregular activities.
Sabu was another B29 gunner, Eddie Albert participated in the battle on Tarawa. Victor Mature served aboard ship in both Atlantic and Pacific. All interesting stuff found on IMDB.

    Gone with the Wind
Titanic – well, gave up after half an hour the first couple of times, then the next time I skipped to the sinking bit. 🙂

PS Why do Kate Winslet, Keira Knightly, Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman all look the same? Are they clones? Even Emma Watson’s heading that way, is there a formula?
