This is just crying out for a comment from me, but if I make it, I will simply lower the tone of the forum yet again 😀
Well that was a good build up, so let’s hear it 😀 😀
1. Asking my mum to get a wasp out of the loo (4-5?).
2. My flying logbook.
3. I wanted to fly for a living, but my eyesight isn’t up to it.
4. Combat trousers, casual top. No wedding ring, it’s off being shrunk 3 sizes I’ve lost so much weight :p No watch, I hate them.
5. Anything I find in a fridge raid.
6. My leg twitches. I had a great time once at work while the two girls opposite tried to work out why the floor was vibrating..
Anyone else think a woman that close to a .50 is a little scary? 😮
Outstanding..
Is Goodwood an all grass airfield does anyone know?
Are you coming for a visit then? 🙂
Junkers W34.
There’s one in Canada, at least:

Far nicer than Shoreham which is getting a little tatty and neglected, at least it was the last time I visited.
When was that? Looked fine last time I was there, a couple of months ago.
some footage i have seen one of the aircraft lost by the USAF during the highball tests was i belive an A20 havoc/boston type.
best regards.
Greg
This has been on TV a few times, I thought it was an Invader.
I’m sure we’d all like to know… 🙂
‘Faith’ will end up with a set of feathers soon.
Should it though? Rebuilding a collection of parts to produce a representative airframe is fine, but in the case of an individual historically significant airframe, I think it’s best left as is. 2p!
Luton
An old picture of Luton in the mid 80’s to compare with the previous pic. It still had two grass runways then, and circuit traffic, including me.
Old Buckenham
Landing on 25 at OB, the pattern of the old wartime runways is still visible (just).
Not fair, I’m better looking than him.
Would have been nice if they had published a picture of all four of the veterans. The day was all about them and their story.
Miles Libellula.
Looking at the threads on Putnam books has made me feel ill, I practically gave away my Miles book at a bootsale clearout 🙁
A memorable day for me, a pleasure to see these ‘few’ fine men, and to make my small contribution to the memorial.
Good to meet Steve and yourself also!
May I recommend this museum to anyone who’s in the area. Small it may be but it’s crammed with fascinating artifacts, many with personal stories related to them.
