No…there is no change. The stipulation was that you had STUDIED to A level or Higher if in Scotland. There is no requirement to have passed the exam.

You do NOT need A levels. The job is not about academic acheivement more it is the ability of the person to be able to process information quickly and accurately .

Aside from the VC-10, which I can’t specifically recall

The best place for the 10 would have been Prestwick. I recall the old PIK-JFK with a feeder VC8 from BFS . Those were the days ……all misty eyed here.

Don’t give up straight away. An old mate of mine is an air traffic controller…and he had to have his colour vision checked by “lantern” method. Have a chat with the CAA they are really helpful.

    PM if you wish.:)

What is the story with Flybe. I mean there seems to a Dash8 parked up at Aldergrove more nights than enough now.It never seems to be in a hurry to clear off in the morning,so surely the schedule must get all mixed up?.I wouldn’t want to be spending my hard earned money to find that my early morning BHD-EDI has been delayed by 4 hours!. Strange way to runan airline if y’ask me:p

I always think that if an aeoplane lands”in accordance with procedures” the word EMERGENCY is somewhat hackneyed. Surely “precautionary” would be less dramatic. Of course that is not what the journo’s want to use as it doesn’t sell papers:rolleyes:

Amesterdam U2 oparate’s on that route(no more can be said).

And it always seems like there is the potential for more than one a day.I think Easyjet are just letting that route drift:mad: 😡

Rome again U2 oparate this route

    But are pulling it

They are a strange selection…we will soon have as many flights to BCN as there are from Belfast(both) to the Isle of Man:D 😀

I think Aer Lingus will do very well on these routes. The London times are certain to pick up a shed load of business travellers from City. The very fact that they are using BA as a partner for onward connectins coupled with the sensible late arrival time into International will surely tempt. The ones that should be worried is Easyjet. The Amsterdam has been left to bumble along and Aer Lingus having KLM as a partner ,coupled again wioth the early departure ,will turnit from a smokers special into a sensible business option. This will also eat into Bmi,s customer base. Interesting times:)
