    Just an in formation to MARK12: ALL the Mk XIX was not pressurised.

    RM626 to RM647 have no pressurized bulkhead + floor and are powered by a Griffon 65. There are an exit door on the left side

    The pressurized Mk XIX are fitted with a Griffon 66. There are no exit door, but have a long and small air intake on the right side of the engine cowling.

    I added one new view (of PS890) to my 5 first photographs, in a new post regarding the airshow of La Ferté Alais 2005.

    The torque effect should be eliminated with the SPIT 19 modified with contra prop because the owner take off with full power using only a very short lenght of Dijon-Darois runway. With the SPIT 14 he flown previously, the total lenght of runway was sometime used…

    Hereafter two of the slides received today from the laboratory. Photographies taken during the fourth flight of the SPITFIRE PRXIX now based at Dijon-Darois.
