flying at quite high speed ( assuming between Mach 0.2-0.5 ) can be hit by a dummy bomb.

the dumb bomb is being launched by an aircraft flying as fast if not faster, then the speed of the bomb will be that of the aircraft itself..whats so surprising about that ?

it can be hit by a dummy bomb by placing the pipper along the sight ahead of the Towed target itself..taking into consideration the trajectory of the bomb and the speed of the towed target itself..if the aircraft were to pitch up before tossing the bomb, the bomb would follow a looping trajectory and if the aircraft were to dive then the trajectory would be much more straight..it basically would involve deciding where the impact would occur and calculation of the flight time of the bomb to achieve such a hit..Harry was it a MiG-27 that carried this out ?

well, they could look at the MKI then..im sure the IAF would gladly help the BrAF in evaluating the MKI and in after-sales support too.

200 km A2A missile ? no missile other than the KS-172 satisfies such parameters ? has anyone any more info on that regard, since earlier reports suggested that the IAF would be funding the development of that missile..

this cant be true..Qatari M2k-5s have 80-85% of their flight hours intact and still will cost the IAF somewhere like $35 million apiece ! so how on earth can AdA Mirages be so cheap ? unless this is a lease and not a sale.

one question..I thought that the IAF had blue overalls for pilots with air defence duties..and green for mud movers like the Jaguar squadrons..in all earlier pics, the IAF Mirage pilots have been using blue overalls. why is it that in an overseas exercise they’re using the olive color ones ?

the Su-30MKI is the only IAF aircraft to have thrust vectoring..dont know of any single engined fighter that may use thrust vectoring, though have read about talk that the Tejas future variants may use thrust vectoring.

nice try he use word Mirage 2000-5 not Mirage-2000 in general. there can be other models for other countries and they can get away with it.

Dont worry Oracle, Pakistan can still purchase old used Mirages from wherever they want ! :p
