Two mighty, but totally useless(ineffective..) weapons systems from the soviet era
B-1B with cruise missiles
As far as I can tell, the Bone was theoretically capable of carrying 16 AGM-129 (4 internally and 12 on six double external pylons). The B-1B could only carry 8 AGM-86B internally. Two AGM-86 were fired from a B-1B in 1987-1989 during integration testing. Don’t remember which treaty prohibited the Bone from carrying cruise missiles though….
is it me or the army.lv video files take forever to download?

Kh…
KH-101 is the conventional version and KH-102 the nuclear one. I’ve read somewhere that the KH-555 (AS-15C) with a 3000 km range has just entered service with RUAF. Basically it’s the same missile as the-B version but with a conventional warhead, small winglets in the nose section and larger fuel tanks. Two versions of the KH-101/102 were considered. A turboprop version would have had a 5000 km range but it was dropped in favor of a turbofan version with a 3000 km range.

Pirate, the link you provided does not work, can you check it ?
I dont’ know about soviet planes but in 1982 or 1983 a bulgarian DC-9 (or some kind of Tupolev)got “lost” over Switzerland. It was eventually intercepted by SAF F-5 fighters. It’s clear it was doing some kind of intelligence gathering. .
P-700 warhead
The SS-N-19 warhead is frequently quoted at 750 kg. However, I wonder if that figure is the warhead total weight or only the explosive filling weight. For example, the AGM-86C CALCM has a warhead that weighs about 3000 lbs but the actual explosive weight is about 1000 lbs..
AIM-120C7 and AIM-120D range?
you say 120 and 220 km? I think it’s a little bit too much…what are your sources wowcow?
USN defenses vs russian ASCMs
Guys, I am very impressed by your expertises. My opinion is that the US navy battle groups/expeditionary groups will be more and more difficult to attack since they will be equipped with the ultra-long range SM-6 and the E-2E Advanced Hawkeye from 2010.That plus the CEC sytem and the FA-18E/F equipped with APG-79 and AIM-120C7 and AIM-120D should give at least a very robust defense capability against even the best russian sea-skimmers in about four or five years.
There are no pictures of Jericho-2 or Jericho-3. the missile featured here is the shavit satellite launcher
strategic targets
my view is that the most accurate ICBMs will target deep underground bunkers or ICBMs silos. The MX has a throw-weight of about 4 metric tons but some russian missiles have a clearly bigger capacity. The SS-18 is believed to be able to carry 15 to 20 RVs!!
