Can somebody explain to me why there seems to be an continuing embargo on free discussion about the proposed final destination of the airframe when this appears to have been openly discussed elsewhere for a number of months now?

Brilliant, I enjoyed every minute of that, and wished there was more.Andy
Not aviation related certainly but given your interest in vintage wheeled vehicles you may enjoy these two threads on HMVF if you haven’t already seen them. Restoration engineering at it’s best:

There are a number of interesting videos and updates on the website for the project
That engine shop also seems to do work for other prominent vintage aviation companies.
The one on Wikipaedia looks nice in flight – reminds me of the Hilson Bi-mono
A scuba diving centre on Watery Lane — almost as bad as the Police Station on Letsby Avenue in Sheffield
Now what about the Heyford buried at Cosford – or is it the Cosford buried at Heyford
The Victory Show at Cosby in Leicestershire is a must-see

We’re straying into G503.com or HMVF territory here….. so mods please delete if appropriate
I contemplated it for the next project, particularly as these guys do all the bits
http://www.ww2fabrications.com/
But I’d only do it to a repro body. By the way they used bolt croppers to take out the bars on the grille – not a hacksaw 😉

Couldn’t possibly comment, Tony :diablo:

Perhaps worthwhile to keep an eye out at Milweb – heavy vehicles and HMVF classifieds as well.
