Fine looking bird.

Yeah, make peace not war man (it was rather obvious who ‘red’ was in these scenarios chuckle 😉
Yeah, not a lot of countries out there operating the C-5 Galaxy, the Stryker, and Ticonderoga-class cruisers.

Include high quality video ~186MB
That video is funny. Everything from “Born Free” to “The Chronicles of Narnia” to “Pirates of the Caribbean” to “Command and Conquer: Generals” in there.
They may not like American equipment or American military forces very much, but they sure do like American music, movies, and video games!

I love the F-15SGs. Super-capable planes, too. Singapore can be proud. That’s one of the best fighters in the world, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable going against one in anything less than an F-22. Great radar, great sensors, great airframe, proven platform. A safe, but strong choice.
Cheers,
Logan
The modified Cutlass you speek of was a what if model- an April fools joke in a model magazine. http://cs.finescale.com/FSMCS/forums/p/446/3517.aspx

This one, right?
Neat-looking, still.

A number of aircraft were designed with probe only to get a boom receptacle while many others that never had a refueling method at all gained a boom receptacle. Both the 707 anf 747 families gained a boom receptacle where there was none to begin with. The F-105 was modified to accept boom, too.
I’m sure there are many other examples, as well.

Here’s what may be an invoice for the sale. It appears to be some official documents from the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation scanned in and uploaded.
eSnacko seems to know something about AACE having the Norwegian F-5s.

They may have been related to the UAE pilot training.

Logan
More info:
There was no opposition in 2008, when an Fighter Fundamentals Pilot Training program for pilots of the United Arab Emirates was to be based at Fort Worth-Alliance airport (USA), training to be provided by Lockheed Martin Corp. Unfortunately this had no follow-up, setting the end (at least for the moment) of the operational career of these aircrafts.

Did you happen to get its tail number?

Shhh! Don’t interupt with facts when emotional U.S. bashing is underway.
Quite right. It’s bad form. Sorry about that drabslab, continue…

http://www.imageaviation.com/PhotoReports/2007/EoT/Report.htm
In July 1999, 336 had been tasked with supporting Kongsberg in testing a new Naval Strike Missile (NSM) for the Norweigan Navy. They needed a platform to carry the NSM seeker head and the F-5 was deemed to be suitable. The project was nicknamed ‘Eye of the Tiger’ (EoT) and the aircraft required several modifications. Most prominent was the adaption of an F-5 tip-tank to house the NSM avionics and seeker head and recording equipment being fiited in the rear cockpit of the F-5B. The aircraft simulate the missile profile and, as such, are required to fly at very low level over the sea. The original F-5 windshield was changed for one found in the Northrop T-38 which is more resistant to bird strikes, a real danger when flying low over the sea.
EoT will have their final deployment to the USA in October and the unit will disband in December 2007, ending almost 40 years of Norweigan F-5 operations. Norway are keen to sell the EoT F-5s and rumour suggests they have been sold to the US to form a pilot training school in Texas. The two 20mm cannons will be disabled and hardpoints will be modified to preclude the carrying of weapons.
Did it look like this?

Yes of course, also those mighty F-15 marks would look nice on the Su-27`s that paid them a visit at Langley :diablo:
Ah yes. Simulated kills.
How quaint.

Thanks for being helpful, Gerard, but I think they mean that they didn’t see any chance of this happening–that this is just wishful thinking on the part of EADS/Airbus, maybe in the hopes of soothing stockholders after KC-X. Not that they couldn’t see the article when they clicked on the link.

I love both the Mi-24 and F-15. Such classic designs. Forward this story to Congress, we’ll see if we can’t get a few more F-22 purchases out of this one. Actually, best to send it to CNN, too.
Cheers,
Logan
Both terms are relative, but not to each other. They don’t contradict each other at all. The F-22 is also both. Most deadly fighter in the skies…and most expensive.
My most effective coffee pot is also the most expensive one that I’ve ever purchased. In the long run, it’s even the most efficient…but it’s still expensive.

Last I knew, the Paraguayan birds have been retired for years, but the Bolivian ones are still going strong.
Even outside of Bolivia the T-33 is still earning an honest living outside of the warbird and airshow circuit.
