Also depends what for: training, Red Bull, air display, competition etc. For example, Pitts are great but don’t present well for judges. 😉

Must confess to liking Today’s Pilot. Buy it every month for the history/GA mix and unusual aircraft write ups. But no 2001 copies – sorry.

Getting up at 5am this morning to go to the Potchefstroom airshow. But very pleased to have finally met Brian Lecomber. 🙂

http://www.avcom.co.za must be one of the best. Also enjoy Military photos. Agree about Pprune aviation history section – very unfriendly. Also enjoy Flyer forums and WIX.

Lovely pics – especially C130. The blurred prop discs make the images!

There’s some interesting derelicts at Camaguey in Cuba. Look like Harvards or even Furys. Three wingless fuselages – Anyone?

Hmm… I do the same thing every now and then. Look at Asmara – some interesting airframes on the military side. Look like T33s and a Noratlas. Lots of MiGs at Dire Dawa. DRC can also be fascinating. I have some images too. Saurimo has a derelict Harpoon/Ventura and something else I can’t identify.

On the scrounge. I need a high res image or two of a Lincoln – preferably Australian. It’s for an article.

‘Two fatal accidents’? this is misleading, I believe there are quite a few more. This AD should have been implemented a while back. One of my mates lost his life in a Cessna 150 spin accident – from high up too. He was instructing a student at the time. They both died.
