    Wout

Remarkably, it never had a registration. This suggests it was owned by a person of ‘influence’ in the region. It flew quite intensively during 2008 prior to its untimely accident. the aircraft was badly damaged though no injuries to the pilot.

Possibly, though I don’t think so. I’ll explore this one a bit more. I’ll see if I can find an interior photo. It doesn’t look ‘western’. Bit I’m not the best judge of this.

Hmm… I believe the owner has some sort of connection to Yuri Yakovlev of Aeroprakt fame and I wonder if it is off his drawing board.

It’s been driving me nuts – so far a complete blank.

Uh uh – this one requires standing on tip toes to look into the cabin. The Dallach is far smaller and powered by a Rotax.

    Unidentified homebuilt

been scratching my head for over a year about this and no one has been able to identify it. Walter turbine engine out front and four seats. Pic taken in the UAE early 2008 and the aeroplane has since had an accident.

    Anyone?

Really bad news. With the loss of a newly restored Super Aero in Africa two years ago (ZS-CYC) and now G-APRR, it represents a major reduction in flyable Aeros. Such pretty aeroplanes – especially in the air. I was fortunate to have flown CYC and it is one of the sweetest aircraft I’ve ever flown. Would love to own one. The Aero’s development story is also fascinating.
