unrelated I know, but do you ever post in the aircraft sections?

It is after all an aviation forum 😎

It could in the near future mean the rise in price’s of airshows due to fuel costs?

With regards to everything else is said i can see where Lincoln 7 is coming from. With more people in work and less sponging off those of us that work hard and pay taxes we’d be far better off. but when someone earns more money on benefits than they would with a normal 9-5 job are we suprised?

But also a result is bad management. Today I’ve read of the MOD paying £22 for a 65p bulb… and a stupid amount for screw that cost a few quid? with management like this and stupid contracts where it costs us more to cancel them than carry on are we suprised at the £38 billion defeciet left for the MOD? these rediculous contracts (under a labour government but I’m not getting into any arguements) should be scrapped or at least reviewed wholey. Once again beaurocracy plays too big a role iin this country, from the lowest point right upto the pinacle of power

    Rant over lol 🙂

F-18 maybe a better and cheaper choice than going for the F-35 if you ask me. at least then it’d save us some cash or give us the choice of more aircraft on the carrier.

What with the RC-135’s being purchased there does seem to be a trend towards americanising our forces, but then so have the aussies and canadians, they just make them thier own aircraft. It’s not like we haven’t bought from the americans before… especially carrier wise

I’d say dust lol. My Canon 30D was notorious for it. Don’t know why people are so quick to jump to UFO’s and Space craft lol

This really p*sses me off……. why are the US or Europe ramping up to do anything? it is an internal country strife which they will sort out themselves and as such the people of that country do not want us there…… did we do this for Egypt? NO…. did we do this in Tunisia? NO…. so why are we going to do it in Libya…………… Oh wait a moment, Libya has oil and the price of that is rising over the doubts on Libyian supplies……………..

They will get rid of him on their own time and way and do not want and will resent our presence……… have we not learnt anything from Afghanistan or Iraq???

Bring back the cold war…….. at least with the USSR on the other side of the wall, these countries involved today would do nothing for fear of awaking the Bear…… The cold war at least set checks and balances in place to the we will walk into other countries and help out scenarios..

Tony Egypt and Tunisia didn’t use its armed forces as badly towards its own civilians. They didn’t use AAA against unarmed citizens. It’s not like we’ve said we’re involving ground troops, merely suggested air patrol. Our gov. should know that we havent the man power to do anything that involves ground troops

Not that I’ve been here long I don’t know if anyone would pay me much attention at this but, we wouldn’t be the only country providing CAP over Libya would we? With the US having a carrier they’ll more than likely be providing the vast majority of it? Malta would be the best bet but would they allow such a thing? I don’t know what their political stacne is on this situation. Just my 2 pence worth 🙂
