Lovely crisp photos there Britannia – colours good, despite the weather looking a wee bit naff…
I know many people have bad feelings about the press, local newspapers etc, but if this is a serious project, then contact the local paper, a story, might yield people who worked on the plane etc…PM me if you need more details.
BBMF – Would you be able to supply an address, where we can send CDs to you please.

I apologise for not answering any questions – I have been at the Yeovilton Air Day today and it was rather wet…
Davforr – Yes I have a DSLR – I use a Canon EOS-10D – best thing I ever brought, apart of a car to get it around in.
Captainben – The same question was being asked by quite a few Luton guys, but it left with a full load – could have been doing a special charter?
Wannabe Pilot – Depends on the size of the aircraft, 767/A300/757 I barely need to zoom at all unless I want close up shots but then my minimum is around 150mm with my lens. For small side-ons of small biz-jets like that gorgeous, ultra-rare retro-looking Sabre Liner then you’re going to need quite a bit of zoom, say 200-300mm. Hope that helps.
Cor! Some of those sights look familiar. Great shots, Tis a great spot that opposite the terminal. Did you get sunburnt there?
Tis Humberside Airport
Great Shots by the way…
Why is there an RAF C-130J at Phuket?
Thanks guys,
There’s quite a bit of luck involved too – I use a Canon 10D with a 100-400 lense made by Canon – Sigma are pretty damn good too.
I’m thinking about getting a Canon 10D if they reduce in price (they have just been discontinued).
It would be well worth it – Canon cameras are superb, just make sure you shop around first -there are some great deals around…
Best aircraft of the day there for me was the Aeroflot 777 in my opinion – though an aircraft in the new livery would have been appreciated more. – I’ll see one, one day!
Great shots, hey at least you got Etihad which is still a damn rare airline – as for Aeroflot, you’ll just have console yourself with these, which I got earlier this year 😉

Ain’t life cruel…
Cool shots. I am surprised to see that BAC-111, is it still in use or parked?
Very much parked up. There are four of them registered in Nigeria and of course Miss World 2001 never took place because of mass riots, something to do with the fact that most Nigerians think the competition is 1,000 years ahead of its time.
no you can tell its a a330 as it is wide not thin like the a320,a321 and engines bigger.
Sorry EAL_KING but no MyTravel A330s operated into Malta that day just Emirates and Corsair used them. It is an A321 as they said…sorry…It was one of seven MYT flights in that day, 2 A321s. 4 A320s and 1 757…

Looks like Strategic airlift capability, Irish style…They should get a proper air force… 😀
Who on earth is providing finance to Etihad? Who owns the airline? I’m not dissing their ambition, but how can a relatively new start-up raise financing for 24 new a/c plus 12 options?
The Abu Dhabi Government would be the answer to your question, which is not having to depend more and more on tourism because its oil is rapidly running out.
