Don’t know about anyone else but I really cringe when I read the name Red Sparrows, I think its a terrible name.

You must be kidding! Great fun I reckon, Wonder what the real ‘REDS’ think! 😀

I reckon its good fun and I am sure they will be populer with the families etc at the odd airshow. Good luck to em I say!

I seem to recall you could vote for the name in Pilot magazine?

Yeah the 109’s were awful….I know it was supposed to be a ‘Ghost’ story thing so not up my street to start with but it was just…well….how can i say…..not very good! 😮

Bring back British Racing Green!!!

😀 they tried, when the first ‘Jagur F1 Cars’ were tested they painted them in a traditional British Racing Green but on the TV screens they looked Black! So this bright colour has been dubbed Jaguar Racing Green!

I believe the Green applied is the Same Green Jaguar used on the F1 Cars and also on the XKR that appeared in the recent James Bond film (cant remember what it was called 😮 )

Its a bit of a ‘loud’ colour so cant imagine what it must look like on a ‘real’ Jag!

I wrote to the IWM a few years back when they commemorated the Dambusters. The IWM Lanc was in the Superhanger.

I was told that they did not have the “funds” or “resource” to remove it from the Hanger….. :confused:

A few of the smaller bits might come out but cant say IWM would be that bothered….

Better enjoy the Oxford while you can – in Airspace she’ll be hung up near the centre of the hangar away from any of the walkways (unless they build an overhead one down the middle) and the Vulcan right under it so it’ll be rather difficult to get pics of her when she’s strung up

Makes yer sick, what a shame…..

If Airspace pandered less to the ‘needs’ of the commercial market we might have had a more imaginative display 😡

Anyway, well done to all those envolved, must make a trip soon to see these beauties. Very nice they look too!

mmm not great but something I guess.

If it were me I reckon a “BATTLE OF BRITAIN DAY” is in order, 15th September each year! The PC brigade would go nuts! :rolleyes: Oh well best not go there……..
