yes…the Malta Airshow people confirmed it on their facebook page…
For some reason doesn’t seemed to have captured the public imagination like MoM DID 7 YEARS AGO! 😮
Amazing evening at Grand Harbour when they arrived!
Rob,
website shows OFMC’s MH434 as a participant?
Where is the Hind going?
love legends…been going since 97, some years more memorable than others but always fantastic!
Perhaps the owners are looking for sponsorship from a well-known mobile phone company.

🙁 You lost me on that one! 😮
Amazing pictures and an amazing sight & sound …. A real highlight of Flying Legends Airshows…
Just a curious question? I noted that the TFC operated MK1 had a slightly different shade of Green/Brown paint…why would this be?
Was this the aeroplane which crashed in Southampton Water in the late 90’s?
I thought it was being rebuilt on the Solent somewhere?
had a great day today!
Who flew the Mustangs and the Bouchons today?
Beautiful pictures, Beautiful Aeroplane and I big Beautiful thank you to everyone associated and involved..:)
I often used to get annoyed that no one was every recognised in ‘New Years Honours’ lists, so many pilots, owners, operators engineers etc to list but you look at some of those people and the mind boggles as to why they are never recognised.
On the other hand, I also wonder if these people are actually that bothered by it and ultimatly those who appreicte and enjoy it most show their appreciation in lots of different ways. Besides the whole honours thing is becoming a bit of a farce anyway….
I think it just needs a polish. It looked immaculate not so long ago, and lets face it, it’s not hard worked in anyway.
Graham
Polish faded/weathered paint? Not sure what that would achieve
As for hard worked??? Leave it a few more years it will probably end up as a frontline fighter again!
It’s about time that Spit got repainted.
Very authentic looking!
I guess it ain’t cheap to repaint a Spitfire? I guess the servicing dosn’t look that cheap either…Looks like some serious work going on!
Really looking forward to the next Brunty ‘Live’ day, gutted to miss the last one…
Im amazed at the work that goes into keeping these aeroplanes alive, just a little curiosity though as to what the running costs would be? For example are they ‘insured’ in any way also how much fuel would they use for a fast taxi etc….
Keep up the cracking work!
When the BBMF go to Europe, I think Poland and Czech Republic this year do they charge the participating airshows?
Just seems odd they can get to these events but Sunderland is ‘too far north’
TFC/IWM really pulling out all the stops this year! The activity is immense…
I was going to attend just one day but at this rate I’ll be doing both! 😀
Well done to all involved…….
The third buchon lands at DX D-FMVS (credit goes to TFC blog)
Oh FFS! 😮
