I fancied going, I’m not a member so I guess by the time you’ve paid membership and ticket price it’s getting a bit expensive for an evenings entertainment.

Spirit of Kent Spitfire are doing an event as well soon so might try that one.

I went to Cosford a few weeks ago (Forgot my Camera! 😡 )

Like some have suggested, I too was very much ‘anti’ suspending aircraft but I couldn’t help be totally inspired by The Cold War Museum.

Knocks Airspace at Duxford and Milestones at Hendon into a crocked hat!

There’s detailed information on the SeaFury’s current ailments in the news section of the RNHF website:

Sadly it looks like being being out action for quite a while. 🙁

    Thats a real shame….

I must say what a great gesture by Tim Manna….Well done Kennett Aviation!

I’ve never really been against puting the Vulcan back in the sky although deep down I just couldn’t see it happening. I’ve donated where I can, not bundles but as much as I can spare.

Bottom line is that this has happened as a result of absolute dedication by a team of people….Well done & Good luck to them all …

    Daz,

    Great post!

A very underated series in my opinion! 😮

The musical score is superb, does anyone know who or where it can be obtained from?

    Brilliant!!! but Sad!!!

    “It’s Moggy………Flashy Sod!”

I cried when Moggy bought it……You couldn’t help but love him!:D

And the pilots…indeed some very very special people there………

    “I hope you make it….”

I must admit that I’ve never been an avid collector of die-casts – I have half a dozen Corgi models (mostly the smaller scale ones), and the old Tonka Spitfire and Hurricane elsewhere! I didn’t realise there were so many examples of preserved warbirds, too!

Their paint jobs are probably far better than my kit-built jobs, too! 😀

😀 Agree with you there…I don’t think I’d have the ability to build a plastic kit to the standard of these models. I tend only to go for the Warbirds that I have seen display.

Well it looks like you can now own your own kent Spitfire! 😀

I must admit to getting a bit hooked by these diecast models, especially ones based on UK Warbirds! I have P51 Twilight Tear, P51 Princess Elizabeth, P47No Guts No Glory, MH434, Ferocious Frankie HAC Hurricane and Spitfire, TFC’s Corsair, P51 Big Beautiful Doll,RNHF Swordfish (With Folding Wings!) and Black 6! I’ve ordered this Kent Spitfire release so I reckon I might be able to stage my own Flying Legends line up!

Now if only they were all 72 times bigger! 😀 😀 😀

    Brilliant Legends 07!

    Best Bits for me…..

Alistair Kay in the Mustang on Saturday (An awesome performance!)

    All the pilots

    All the Groundcrews

Everyone who gives their time to help make the event happen!

Thank you to those who got the ‘High Vised’ attendenants to stand on the crowd line during flight line walk.

Nice not to see the gaggle of Media people crawling behind the rear of the parked aeroplanes

QUESTION? Why do some groundcrew where high vis, and others not?

HAC seemed to be the only crew weraing high vis. ARCO were in blue overalls and the few TFC High Vis were a bit dirty to be considered High Vis! Why don’t pilots wear them?
