I agree…All this talk of “We must not let them beat us is garbage” They are amongst us as we speak and can hurt us when they want….We are supposed to be at war yet we allow them to have all the rights in the world and rome our streets. Its gonna get a whole lot worse…if it gets any better at all….

Ur, no Canberra, Sea Vixen, Venom, Vampire, Gnat…. do any air show organizers bother supporting privatley owned classic jets????

No UASF fast jets, No RAF C17.

RAF event thingy was OK, but nothing compared to what Yeovilton do.

Paid £65 to get in, got my tickets at the pay point, then 15m further on had to stop and have my ticket stubs removed

Parked up, and was met by a holy joly wanting money 😡

The site ran out of bottled water by 3pm, no free water. No prices on the catering concessions.

Of course the Chinook was a show stopper.

Exiting the site was bl**dy brilliant and was down the pub, having a beer by 7.30pm.

Perhaps the budget didn’t stretch to ‘Private classic jets’ I seem to recall BH has got behind these in the past few years….If they kept booking them you’d end up saying “It was the same as last year”

Catering Prices were in the programme…

No Free water! It’s a bloomin airfield! Bring yer own and stop being such a VICTIM!

😀 Ahh yes….BBQ Sauce soaked Burgers, Cooked in a make shift BBQ!

I seem to recall that each Squadron/Wing etc had their own Burger Bar! 😀

Fond Memories indeed….Would be good to see some piccies!

    Springbok,

You might care to make use of the search facility if you haven’t already. The subject of both Airspace and the ‘Why not just build a big rectangular shed and stuff everything inside?’ argument have been discussed at great length previously.

    Moggy

Maybe you could point him in the right direction?

As much as I love this aeroplane, and have contributed what I can I can not imagine any ‘Large Corporate Sponsor’ wanting to support a Cold War Nuclear bomber…It just isn’t something seen as ‘acceptable’ or even dare I say PC.

Airshows/Warbirds attract very little sponsorship from large brands/companies especially given the amount of shows and the numbers of people they pull….
